We join with you in this honest cry of exhaustion and we bring your weariness before the Father together in Jesus' name. We are thankful you came directly to Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear how depleted you feel in body and in spirit, and our Lord sees and cares deeply. He does not ask you to carry this burden in your own strength. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. He understands our frame and knows when we are faint. Isaiah 40:29 reminds us He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
Your request for His presence and peace is exactly what He longs to give. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And for your sleep tonight, we cling to Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. He also promises in Psalm 127:2 that He gives sleep to his loved ones, not because we have earned it but because we are loved.

Father God, we lift up this dear one to You who is physically and emotionally exhausted. We ask You to surround them tonight with Your tangible presence. Quiet the racing thoughts, calm the anxious heart, and let Your peace that passes all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Grant them deep, peaceful, restorative sleep, that their body may be renewed and their spirit refreshed. Forgive us when we try to strive in our own strength and teach us to cast all our worries on You, because You care for us as 1 Peter 5:7 says. We ask for new strength for tomorrow, not our own, but Yours, that they may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint according to Isaiah 40:31. Restore what exhaustion has drained and let them awaken knowing they are held, loved, and sustained by You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to give yourself permission to rest as God designed. Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places to rest and pray. Be gentle with yourself tonight, turn off what stirs anxiety, breathe deeply in prayer, and entrust tomorrow into His hands before you close your eyes. He will be faithful to give you what you need for tomorrow when it comes, for His mercies are new every morning. We continue to stand with you for renewed strength and perfect peace.

Your cry of exhaustion is one that the Lord Himself knows well, for He has seen your frame and felt your weariness, and He is near to those who are pressed down with care.
There is a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. The prophet speaks of it, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." It is peace, peace, a double peace, perfect peace. As we have often sung, "The blood of Jesus whispers peace within." That blood has made atonement, and therefore peace with God is settled, and from that fountain flows peace in the conscience like a crystal stream. It is not the false peace of carnal security which lulls the soul to sleep while danger is near, but it is His own peace, the unruffled calm of the Eternal Son, which He leaves to His people. "My peace I give unto you," He says, and it is a peace which passes all understanding and keeps the heart even when sorrows surge around and duties press hard upon you. To do the will of Jesus, even in weariness, this is rest, to bear your sorrow with Him is to find perfect peace even in the midnight of this world of care.
And with that peace He gives sleep, for so it is written, "So He gives His beloved sleep." Sleep is a gift from a Father's hand to His beloved children. It is tired nature's sweet restorer, and the Lord makes it to be the sleep of contentment and the sleep of security. The man who has a quiet conscience, right with God through Christ, may lie down and say, with the world, myself and Thee, I, ere I sleep, at peace shall be. He giveth His beloved sleep not as the world giveth, restless and broken, but as one who watches over His own, keeping them safe through the night watches.
So we will pray for you now.
O Father, God of all peace, look upon this weary one who is spent in body and in spirit. Forgive all sin through the precious blood of Jesus and whisper peace within. Stay the mind upon Thyself, and keep this Your child in perfect peace. Grant this night a portion of that balmy, restorative sleep which You give to Your beloved. Lay Your hand upon the throbbing brain and the weary limbs, and give quietness and security under Your watchful eye. Renew strength for tomorrow, that waking may be with new mercies, and that duties may be done in Your strength and for Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has vanquished death and all its powers, and who calls His people at last to Heaven's perfect peace. Amen.

That is why God wants to minister to the whole person. There is a difference between having peace with God and experiencing the peace of God in daily life. Peace with God comes only through Jesus Christ, who made peace through His blood on the cross. When you have trusted in Him, you are no longer at war with God, you belong to Him, and that brings a deep settled peace. From that place, God wants you to know His peace day by day, the peace that guards your heart and mind.
That peace is described as perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus told His disciples, peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers distraction or temporary relief, but His peace comes from knowing He is in control and He is working even when you feel weak. He has ordained peace for His people because He Himself is at work in you. When your thoughts turn toward Him and stay on Him, His peace begins to fill your heart even in the midst of turmoil.
You asked to be surrounded by His presence and to receive restorative sleep. Picture the shepherd who lies down at the entrance to the sheepfold. He Himself is the door, and nothing can get to the sheep without passing over Him. You can rest because He is watching over you. He is also the one who was at the top of the ladder that reached from earth to heaven, showing that heaven is open and God is near even in lonely, exhausting moments. He is not distant. He is present, and He gives sleep to His beloved as a gift.
I am praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, surround this weary one with Your presence. Forgive sins and draw this heart close through Christ. Fill the mind and heart with Your peace that passes all understanding and keep them steady as trust is placed in You. Grant quiet, restorative sleep and let the body and mind be renewed.
