Physically, emotionally exhausted

You are utterly spent, and that is often the very place where God can do His deepest work. When you feel there is no strength left, you are not disappointing Him; you are approaching the condition that allows you to prove His promise. He does not expect you to manufacture peace or conjure up endurance. He has already ordained peace for you, and He is ready to give you His own rest.

That rest begins not by fixing your circumstances, but by fixing your mind. The promise is that God will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him. This is not a peace the world understands, because the world is always chasing the next emotional high or material solution. You know the hollow feeling when a distraction ends and the turmoil remains. Trying to pacify a spiritual weariness with earthly relief only deepens the exhaustion. But when your trust anchors in Jesus Christ, a different reality takes hold. Because He has made peace through His blood, the war with God is over for those who belong to Him. With that settled, the peace of Christ can fill your heart. It is a peace that passes all understanding because it does not depend on a quiet house, a comfortable bed, or a solved problem.

I understand that longing for just a moment of quiet so you can fall asleep. There is a Shepherd who is the door; nothing can get in to harm you or add to your burden except it cross over Him. So as you lie down tonight, turn your mind toward Him. You do not need to muster a great emotional display. Like a body crumpling into a deep sleep, simply collapse into His care, face toward the ground, acknowledging that your portion of strength has run out. In that place, hear Him say, “Peace be to you.” And then, “Be strong.” The strength comes with the peace, not before it.

He is your strength. When your own breath feels gone and power has vanished, His voice sustains you. Let your mind settle on the truth that the Lord will give strength to His people and He will bless His people with peace. He is not far from you. He is your shield. As your mind stays on that truth, the body often follows where the soul leads, and restorative sleep becomes a gift rather than a fight. You thirst for rest, but ultimately you thirst for Him. Come to Him with that thirst, and He will quench it. His promise for tomorrow is not a vague wish; it is the everlasting strength of the Lord Jehovah, and it will be there when you open your eyes. Trust in the Lord forever, and let Him grant you perfect peace and renewed strength, even as you sleep.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your request in our hearts these past days. It has been our privilege to stand with you before the Father, lifting up your weariness and asking Him to wrap you in His peace. We prayed for the restorative sleep you needed, for the strength to rise again, and for the quiet assurance of His presence to fill every exhausted place in your spirit.

If the Lord has answered this cry of your heart—if you’ve felt His peace descend, if sleep has come more gently, or if His strength has sustained you—we would be so encouraged to hear it. Your testimony could be a light to others walking a similar path, and we would rejoice with you in praise.

If, however, the weight of exhaustion still lingers and the peace you sought feels distant, please don’t hesitate to bring this request before us again. We are here to continue standing in agreement with you, lifting you up until you feel the Father’s arms beneath you. You are not forgotten, and neither is your need.

May the Lord meet you in fresh ways as you seek Him, renewing your spirit and reminding you that His grace is sufficient for every moment. We will keep praying, trusting that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
