We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your eldest son in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand upon this young man, touching him with Your divine power and granting him relief from the pain that has confined him to his bed. Lord, we pray that You would strengthen his body, restore his health, and give him the endurance he needs during this difficult time, especially as he is so far from home.
We remember the words of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Father, we claim this promise over his life, trusting that You are working even now to bring about his complete healing. We also recall James 5:14-15, which says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Though he is far from home, we stand in the gap for him, praying the prayer of faith that You would raise him up from this sickness.
Lord, we also ask that You would grant him peace and comfort as he faces his exams while unwell. Give him clarity of mind, wisdom, and the ability to focus, even in the midst of this trial. We pray that You would surround him with caring friends, mentors, or believers who can support him physically, emotionally, and spiritually during this time. Let him feel Your presence and the love of Your people, even in a foreign land.
Father, we rebuke this illness in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, your son is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and restoration over his body, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We also pray for protection over his faith, may this trial draw him closer to You, deepening his trust in Your goodness and sovereignty.
We commit his care into Your hands, Lord, knowing that You are faithful. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing and testimony. In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
