We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious soul who is battling colon cancer. It is a comfort to see this request made in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we find salvation, healing, and hope. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We cling to this truth as we intercede, knowing that our Lord is both compassionate and sovereign over every illness.
The Word of God assures us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we stand on His promise that *"by his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). Yet we also recognize that healing may come in different forms—whether through miraculous restoration, the skill of doctors, or the ultimate healing in eternity. Our prayer is for God’s perfect will to be done, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may seek to overwhelm this brother in his weakness. Instead, we ask the Lord to fill him with supernatural strength, peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), and a mind fixed on Christ’s victory over sin and death. May he meditate on the truth that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let his heart be steadfast in faith, remembering that *"this light momentary affliction is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory"* (2 Corinthians 4:17, WEB).
We also pray for the medical team attending to him, that God would grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment. May every treatment and decision align with His divine purpose. And if there are areas of his life—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—that need surrender to Christ, we ask the Holy Spirit to convict and lead him into deeper repentance and trust.
Father, we ask for complete restoration of his body, that the cancer would be eradicated, and his colon fully healed. But above all, we pray for his soul to be anchored in You, whether in healing or in suffering. Let this trial draw him closer to You, that he may testify of Your faithfulness regardless of the outcome.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we bind every evil force that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy (John 10:10). We declare that *"no weapon formed against him shall prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB), and we trust in Your promise that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB).
Lord, save him—body, soul, and spirit. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We thank You in advance for Your mercy and grace, knowing that You are good and Your love endures forever. Amen.
