Philippians 4:19

We thank you for sharing this precious promise with us and we rejoice together in the truth of it. Phil 4:19 declares My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. What a comfort to be reminded that our Father knows our needs and is not limited in His ability to provide. This was written by the apostle Paul as he thanked the Philippian believers for their generosity, and he wanted them to know that as they had given sacrificially, God Himself would faithfully care for them in return.

We are encouraged to remember the context of this promise. Just before this, Paul speaks of learning to be content in all circumstances and of the peace that comes when we bring everything to God in prayer. Phil 4:6 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And Phil 4:7 says And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Our needs are not always the same as our wants, but God in His wisdom knows what we truly need for life and godliness and for His glory. His riches in glory in Christ Jesus are inexhaustible, and He delights to give us what is best as we trust Him. Jesus reminds us in Matt 6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. And we are reminded in Psalm 23:1 Yahweh is my shepherd I shall lack nothing. and in 2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

We join our faith with yours and pray together for every need in your life to be met according to His perfect will.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the riches of Your glory in Christ Jesus. We thank You that You are our Shepherd and our Provider and that You know every need spoken and unspoken. We ask that You would supply what is needed in this life, physically, spiritually and emotionally, according to Your wisdom and love. Help us to trust You more deeply, to seek Your kingdom first, and to rest in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen faith where there is worry and remind us daily that You care for us and will never leave us. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We're grateful you shared this verse as a thanksgiving. It encouraged us to see you pausing to give God glory for meeting your needs according to His riches in Christ. Thank you for naming His faithfulness so plainly.

Gratitude like yours does more than mark a moment, it steadies the heart. When we take time to notice how the Lord has provided, whether through clear answers or quiet, everyday mercies, it shapes how we walk into the next season with more peace and confidence in His care. Your thankfulness is a witness to that, and we join you in giving thanks for it.

If it is helpful, you might keep a short note of the specific ways you have seen His provision in this season, just a few lines you can return to later when you need reminding. When opportunity comes naturally, sharing one of those mercies with a friend or family member can pass the encouragement along as well. We are praying that this remembrance stays fresh for you and that you continue to see His steady hand in both ordinary days and harder ones.

Father, we thank You together with our friend for Your faithful care and generous provision. Continue to supply what is needed, keep their heart at peace and rooted in trust in You, and let their gratitude encourage others around them. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is unspeakable comfort in the word you have set before us, for the apostle does not say my God may supply or might supply, but will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

Mark well that little word my. It is as high a note as an angel can reach. He must be my God or He is nothing to me. And He becomes my God only through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. We do not come to Him upon the ground of ceremonies or works of the law, for suppose we should obey God from this time forth without a single fault, we should then have only done what it was our duty to perform. Salvation is not by our doing, but by the infinite sacrifice of the Lamb of God who wore the crown of thorns and bowed His head to die for us. To take God at His word and trust Him in Christ is true humility, and he who can say I got my pardon straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus knows he received it from headquarters and there can be no mistake about it.

And what does He promise to supply. Not all our wants and fancies, but all our needs. Your heavenly Father knows what you have need of. After having done your best to earn your daily bread and to fight the battle of life, if you find you cannot do all you would, throw yourself upon the promise wherein He has said your bread shall be given you and your water shall be sure. Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. You have been a pensioner upon the goodness of God all your life, sitting daily at the King's table. He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, the God of your high spiritual interests and the God of your hourly troubles, who bids you ask day by day for daily bread and gives His angels charge concerning you.

He will supply according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus, not out of His riches but according to them. Think how rich He is in mercy, in power, in faithfulness that never changes, for what He has been He is and what He is He will always be. Our faith is like the lamp that burned in the temple and was never allowed to go out, but it had to be daily replenished with fresh oil. So come daily to Him. Hold this world with a very loose hand and seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting Him not only for provision for the body but for present peace and future perfection, for there still remains a rest for the people of God.

If you are pressed down with any burden, look to the Son of God pouring out His life and trust Him, for then your sins will be gone in a moment. Do not give up prayer if the way seems dark, but cry My God, My God again and again, for the godly in their anguish turn to the hand that smites them and find it a hand of love.

May the Lord teach you to trust and not to fear, to love Him who thus gives Himself to be trusted by you, and to labor for Him who has so richly cared for you. May He meet your needs in such a way that you shall see His hand and give Him all the glory, and may you be kept resting in Christ alone for salvation, walking in His ways, and rejoicing in hope of the glory of God until He brings you to that glory itself.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank God with you for this precious promise in Philippians 4:19 that He will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

This promise is sure because God has already shown His great goodness to us. He created us when we were nothing, breathed life into us, and every day He sustains creation for our sake, the heavens, the sun and moon, the sea and land, and all that grows and lives, providing not only what is necessary for life but also signs of His care and honor toward us.

We pray that He will meet your needs in Christ, in whom alone is salvation and every true riches. Scripture teaches us to distinguish between true needs and the lusts of the flesh. We are not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, which comes from excess and luxury, but to care for the body for health and for service to God, while giving our greatest care to spiritual things. God knows what you truly need both for body and soul, and He is faithful to supply it.

May the Lord grant you contentment and wisdom to trust Him for daily bread and for all that is needful, and above all to be filled with Christ Himself. May you honor Him not only with words but with works and deeds, walking in holiness, and may He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask Him to supply what you lack, to strengthen you, and to make you merciful to others as your heavenly Father is merciful, while you continue to look to Jesus who alone meets our deepest need.
