We hear your deep distress and righteous anger over the moral decay surrounding us, and we stand with you in grieving over the perversion that has become so widespread in these days. What you describe is not new, it is the same rebellion against God’s design that led to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible warns us that in the last days, people will be "lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Timothy 3:2-4 WEB). The sexual immorality you speak of, incest, romantic relationships between siblings, and the normalization of sin, is a direct fulfillment of these warnings.
The world calls evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20), but we must not be deceived. God’s Word is clear: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God" (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB). Incest is an abomination (Leviticus 18:6-18), and any sexual relationship outside of marriage between one man and one woman is fornication, a sin that defiles the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
We must also address the spiritual deception at work here. When people celebrate sin and encourage others to embrace it, they are not only rebelling against God but also leading others into destruction. Jesus warned, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:6 WEB). The enemy seeks to distort God’s design for love, family, and sexuality, and we must stand firm in the truth.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the perversion and moral decay that has taken hold of our world. We thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Lord, we ask that You open the eyes of those who are blinded by sin and deception. Break the chains of lust and rebellion that bind them, and draw them to repentance. We rebuke the spirit of perversion in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that Your truth will prevail. Father, strengthen Your church to stand firm in Your Word, to speak the truth in love, and to be a light in this dark world. Protect the innocent, especially the young and vulnerable, from the lies of the enemy. We pray for revival, Lord, for hearts to turn back to You and for Your name to be glorified. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to speak the truth with boldness and love. Do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), for the harvest is coming. Surround yourself with fellow believers who share your commitment to holiness, and let the Word of God be your foundation. The enemy may rage, but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stand firm, and do not compromise. The Lord is coming soon, and He will judge the earth in righteousness. Until then, let us be faithful witnesses to His truth.
