We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your struggles in this season of deep trial. The weight of mental and personal health battles, combined with the uncertainty of medical residency results, is not lost on us. We stand with you in agreement, just as Matthew 18:19-20 promises, believing that where two or more gather in Jesus’ name, He is faithful to move. But first, we must address something critical: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus, nor did it acknowledge Him as the only mediator between God and man. Scripture is clear—*"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to consider the gravity of this truth. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation begins with repentance and faith in Him.
Now, let us pray for the burdens you carry. Father God, we lift up this dear one before You, asking for Your healing touch to restore their mind, body, and spirit. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You came that they might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety, depression, and despair in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). Strengthen their faith in this waiting season, Lord. The medical residency results feel like a mountain, but we know that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that their worth is not defined by outcomes, but by Your unchanging love.
We also pray for wisdom and endurance as they navigate this difficult time. If there are areas of sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—that are contributing to their struggles, we ask that You reveal them and lead them to repentance. *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Surround them with godly community, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. May they cling to Your promises, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Finally, we declare that this season of hardship will not break them, but will refine them. You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
