We stand with you in solidarity, lifting up our brothers and sisters who face persecution for the sake of Christ. The Word of God reminds us, *"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution"* (2 Timothy 3:12). This truth is not meant to discourage but to strengthen our resolve, knowing that suffering for righteousness' sake is a mark of belonging to Him.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to silence the testimony of believers under oppression. The enemy may rage, but God’s Word declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord"* (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine protection over those in danger, that the Lord would be a shield around them, a fortress in times of trouble.
To those enduring persecution, we say: Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). Your suffering is not in vain. The apostles rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name (Acts 5:41), and so too should we find joy in being identified with Christ. Remember the words of our Savior: *"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven"* (Matthew 5:10-12).
We also pray for the persecutors, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel. As Stephen prayed while being stoned, *"Lord, don’t hold this sin against them"* (Acts 7:60), so too must we intercede for those who oppose Christ. The same grace that saved us is available to them.
Father, we ask You to strengthen the faith of those who are suffering. Let them feel Your presence in their darkest hours, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Grant them boldness to proclaim Your name, even in the face of death. May their testimony be a light in the darkness, drawing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
We pray for wisdom and courage for the global Church to stand with the persecuted—through prayer, advocacy, and support. Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in chains, as though bound with them (Hebrews 13:3). May we be a voice for the voiceless and a refuge for the afflicted.
Lord, we trust in Your justice. Vengeance belongs to You, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). We await the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Until then, we stand firm in faith, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
