Jesus told His disciples: "When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. (Matt 10.23)
We've been praying for our brother ### and his wife ###, ever since he was arrested in ###. Today, we bring you news that ### has left ### and been reunited with his wife and children in a nother country, where they fled for their safety in June.
It's a wrenching decision for a persecuted believer to leave his country for his own safety. But church friends convinced him that caring for his wife and children is his priority now. As ###'s friend, ###, said - "### fought hard to remain in ###. He could have chosen to leave before the persecution intensified, but he desired to serve the Lord here.
"If all persecuted believers leave their country, who will remain to share Him with their family and friends?" ### said, anticipating the questions people might ask about ###'s departure. "Each persecuted believer's journey is different, and no one walks in their shoes except them. ### proved himself willing to endure persecution, and endured through painful suffering and loss. Many came to know the Lord through him."
Please continue to pray with ###, ### and their family as they make this transition.
Thank God for ###'s safe move to another country, and for his joyful reunion with family there. Pray for ###'s heart as he continues to grieve that he had to leave the country and people he loves because he could not live freely and safely there as a Christian. Ask Him to use ### to comfort and encourage her husband.
### and his family have received ### messages of encouragement from around the world as they struggled in ###. Pray the knowledge that the worldwide church is lifting them up will encourage ### in a new ministry.
Pray for the believers still in ###, that ###'s bold example as a witness for Jesus there will energize and strengthen them to do the same.
Thanks so much for praying, God bless. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.
