We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is enduring hatred, torment, and negative influences. The weight of such oppression is not unfamiliar to us, for Scripture tells us, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). This battle is real, and it is not one that can be fought in our own strength.
First, we must address the foundation of this request. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. There is no deliverance, no peace, and no victory outside of Him. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). Salvation is found in no other name, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not confessed your sins and surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would do so today. Repentance and faith in Jesus are the first steps to true freedom.
Now, for those who are in Christ, we stand in agreement for deliverance from the hatred and torment you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of hatred, bitterness, and oppression that is seeking to take root in your life. We command these forces of darkness to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him, and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB).
We pray that you would be clothed in the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, and watch with all perseverance. You are not defenseless, for the Holy Spirit dwells within you, and "greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We also pray for a covering of peace and protection over you. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:2, 4 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:14 WEB).
If there are areas in your life where you have opened doors to these negative influences—whether through unforgiveness, bitterness, sin, or involvement in occult practices—we urge you to repent and renounce these things. The Bible warns us, "Do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27 WEB). Confess your sins to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). Break every ungodly soul tie, every unholy covenant, and every agreement with darkness in the name of Jesus.
We also encourage you to surround yourself with godly community. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Find a Bible-believing church where you can be strengthened, encouraged, and held accountable. Let the body of Christ stand with you in prayer and support.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now on behalf of this precious one who is under attack. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that You would bind the enemy and loose Your peace, joy, and freedom in their life. Break every chain of hatred, torment, and oppression, Lord. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross. Remind them of Your promises, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf.
We declare that the light of Christ shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:5 WEB). We speak life, healing, and restoration over this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
