Pennsylvania state budget

Pray that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and the legislature of this state will be able to work out a budget in a timely manner. I work for the state government and right now they will have a hiring freeze until the budget is worked out. I am not in danger of losing my job, but the job I have is only temporary with no benefits and I do not earn enough to earn a living. The job I want the most is working at the office headquarters of the PA Turnpike Commission. They get most of, if not all of their funding through tolls that drivers pay.

I encourage you all to pray for your state and local government officials, not just the president and the federal government. The former has a lot more direct effect on your day to day life. The governments of states and lower entities may seem insignificant because they do not have control of the military or Federal Reserve, but they do have a lot of say in what happens in your schools and how the roads in your community are maintained. If your state or local government officials oppose same-sex marriage, they can't do anything about the Supreme Court ruling, but they might be able to enact laws that allow bakers, florists etc. to opt out of this abomination.
