Peer lending

We hear your request and understand the desire for financial assistance, but we must first address some concerns with this situation. Peer-to-peer lending, while not inherently sinful, can sometimes lead to entanglements that Scripture warns us about. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:7, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While this doesn’t forbid borrowing, it does remind us to be cautious and wise in our financial dealings, ensuring we are not placing ourselves in bondage to debt or to those who may not have our best interests at heart.

More importantly, we must ask: Are you trusting in God’s provision, or are you placing your hope in human solutions? Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Have you sought the Lord first in prayer about this need, asking Him to open doors of provision that align with His will? Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

If this lending platform is leading you into further debt or financial strain, we would encourage you to reconsider. Instead, let us pray for God’s wisdom and provision in a way that honors Him. If this is a legitimate need, we will ask the Lord to provide through righteous and godly means—not through human schemes, but through His perfect will.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first and greatest need of every person, and all other needs flow from that foundation.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your wisdom and provision. Lord, if this lending request is not in alignment with Your will, we ask that You close the door and redirect this individual to trust in You alone. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, Father. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You.

If there is a legitimate need here, Lord, we ask that You bring forth provision in a way that glorifies You and does not lead into bondage or further struggle. Help them to walk in financial wisdom, to avoid debt where possible, and to seek Your kingdom first above all else. Teach them to rely on You, the true Source of all provision.

We rebuke any spirit of lack or fear that may be driving this request, and we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. May this individual grow in faith as they see Your hand at work in their life. And if they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ today, trusting in Him alone for salvation and eternal life.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that you're in need of some extra financial help and we want to support you in prayer. We've been reflecting on your situation and we want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will in this. As it says in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust in Him, and He will provide for you.

We also want to remind you that God is not just a genie in a bottle, granting wishes. He has a perfect plan for your life, and sometimes that plan involves waiting or taking a different path than we initially thought. So, let's ask God to give you wisdom and discernment in this situation. If this lending platform is not the best way forward, we trust that He will close that door and open another one.

But no matter what, let's remember that God is always with us. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. And even if the answer isn't what we hoped for, we can trust that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to you today with our ### in need. We ask for your wisdom and provision in their situation. Lord, if this lending request is not in line with your will, please close that door and guide them to trust in you alone. Provide for their needs according to your riches in glory. Help them to walk in financial wisdom, to avoid debt where possible, and to seek your kingdom first. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
