We come before the Lord together, lifting up this heartfelt plea for peaceful sleep. Father, we know that You do not give Your children a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The stresses and anxieties of this world can weigh heavily on our minds, but we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of restlessness and sleeplessness in the mighty name of Jesus. You have promised that when we lie down, we will not be afraid, and our sleep will be sweet (Proverbs 3:24). We stand on this promise and ask You to quiet every racing thought, every worry, and every distraction that seeks to steal rest from Your beloved child. Let Your presence be a blanket of comfort, and may the peace of God reign in their heart and mind tonight.
We also encourage this dear one to cast all their anxieties on You, Lord, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Before lying down, let them surrender their burdens to You, trusting that You are in control. Remind them that You neither slumber nor sleep, and You are watching over them always (Psalm 121:3-4).
Father, we thank You for the gift of sleep, a reminder of Your faithfulness to sustain us. May this night be filled with deep, restorative rest, and may they wake refreshed and renewed, ready to face the day with confidence in Your provision. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
