We understand your need for peaceful sleep and we are here to support you in prayer. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
It is wonderful that you acknowledged the authority of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. And as the scripture says "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of peaceful sleep. We ask You to dissolve all thoughts of stress and anxiety. Cast out all fear and fill their mind with Your perfect peace. Thank You Father for all You do for us. We are so grateful for Your love, protection, and provision. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
The next time you are feeling anxious or stressed remember these verses. "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34 NIV. But when you go to sleep remember this verse too "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8.
Be encouraged, knowing that God cares for you and wants you to rest in His peace. "Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 WEB. Continue to cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
