We understand your need for peaceful sleep and we are here to support you in prayer. The Bible tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up this beloved one, asking that You would grant a peaceful night's sleep. Cast out all thoughts of stress and anxiety, and fill their mind with Your peace. We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We pray for this Your child and Your will in Jesus' name, Amen.
In these times of stress and anxiety, remember that God cares for you and wants you to cast all your cares on Him. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) It is also important to keep your mind focused on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 WEB)
As you prepare for sleep, consider meditating on Psalm 4:8 WEB: I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
If other issues are causing this stress and anxiety, we would be blessed to address those as well either now or later. Lastly, we rejoice that this prayer was requested in Jesus' name, as this is the way to be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
