Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard, and we join you in bringing him before the Lord who loves him and keeps him with unceasing care.
We are reminded that the Scripture says, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep, and He will not suffer your foot to be moved. Our rest and our waking are in His hands. He has given night as a haven and a solace for our weariness, and He has bound sleep to our nature as a gift of His mercy, that we might be refreshed even when our thoughts are troubled. While we are called to guard ourselves and to stand steadfast and unmovable, and to watch and be sober in soul, we do so trusting not in our own strength but in the One who watches over us without sleeping. He alone can quiet confusion and fear, and guard the heart with a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Together we pray for your son in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and healing for soul and body:
Father, we ask You to grant this dear son a peaceful night and peaceful days. Calm every restlessness, uneasiness, frustration, anxiety, anger and fear. Let no confusion or torment disturb him, but saturate him with Your peace, joy, clarity, gratefulness and favor. We ask that every habit of rigidity, every source of distress and discomfort, and every spiritual oppression would bow to the name of Jesus and depart from him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and clothe him with Your protection. We pray the full armor of God over him, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Surround him with Your hedge of protection and let ministering angels encamp around him. Let no weapon formed against him prosper.
We pray for healing in his mind, body and spirit. By the stripes of Jesus he is healed. Bring restoration over his health, his sensory needs, his sleep and his meals. Let him eat in peace, sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and strengthened. Speak calm over his schedule, his routines, his activities and his relationships. Help him to adjust with ease, to communicate with gentleness and confidence, and to find contentment in what You have given him.
We pray for you, for his caregivers, family and friends. Grant wisdom, patience and discernment to do what is right and good for him. Give him dedicated, godly caregivers who will bring out the best in him with gentleness and calm, and give him a gentle and trusting heart toward them. Bless his meetings and services, and guide every decision about his care, that they would lead to breakthrough and growth. Provide godly mentors and friends who will encourage him, and restore and strengthen the bonds between him and his siblings and all his household with love, compassion and unity. Remove division, isolation and every negative influence, and let Your light dispel every shadow in your home.
We thank You for the victories You have already given and for the mercies that are new every morning. As You have promised that where two or three are gathered in Your name You are in their midst, we stand in agreement believing You hear and answer according to Your perfect will. Keep this family in Your peace today and every day, guide and protect them in all their ways, and let this son be a reflection of Your love, peace and grace.
