Your prayer is heard and it is a joy to stand in agreement with you. Thank you for sharing both the thanksgiving and the burden on your heart.
We rejoice with you for the provision for the air conditioner at a reasonable cost. Every good provision comes from the Father and it is right to give Him thanks for these practical answers that bring relief to your home.
We join you in lifting up your son before Jesus. Scripture shows us that Jesus is both truly man, the promised Son of David, and truly God, the only begotten Son of the Father. Because He is man He understands our weakness and our daily struggles, and because He is God He has power to help, to heal, and to save. When two blind men cried out to Him as Son of David asking for mercy, though the crowd told them to be quiet they cried even louder, and Jesus stood still and answered them. He still stands to hear the persistent cry for mercy, and your faithful intercession for your son is precious to Him.
You asked for peace for him, for sleep without disturbance and a calm spirit free from fear, anxiety, agitation and torment. Jesus is called the Prince of Peace and He said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Through faith in Him we have peace with God, and from that peace with God we can know the peace of God guarding our hearts and minds. In the New Testament grace always comes before peace, because only when we rest in His grace can we truly experience His peace. We pray that your son, and your whole household, will know both that peace with God through Christ and the daily keeping peace of God in heart and mind, and that His light would dispel every shadow.
We also agree with you for healing in body, mind and spirit. We can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. At one time He spoke a word in one town and healed a nobleman's son many miles away, showing His authority is not limited by distance. At another time He healed by the pool called Bethesda. Sometimes His healing is immediate and sometimes it is gradual, and there is much about healing we do not fully understand, but we believe every true healing process is from God who created our bodies and ordained the means of restoration. Whether quickly or step by step, He is able to bring healing to the mind, to calm sensory distress, to ease physical discomfort, and to restore what has been wounded. By His wounds we are healed, as Isaiah declared.
We agree with you in rebuking fear and confusion in Jesus' name and asking that anything not of the Lord that would steal peace and joy would depart. We ask the Lord to surround your son with His protection, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and to clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We pray that His angels would encamp around him and guard him in all his ways.
We pray for you, for your family, for your younger daughter, and for those who give care. May God fill each caregiver and each family member with wisdom, patience and discernment, and provide helpers who respect your son, include him, delight in him and follow wise care with consistency. We ask for godly mentors and friends who will encourage him, for services that truly help without causing regression, and for unity and love to be strengthened between him and all those around him. Where there has been division or isolation or misunderstanding about his needs, we ask the Lord to bring understanding, compassion and restored bonds.
We thank the Lord for victories already won and trust Him for what He is still doing. His promise stands that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them, and He hears according to His perfect will. We join our faith with yours for calm in his schedule, meals, routines and interactions, for gentle and confident communication, for restful sleep and waking refreshed with joy and strength, and for your home to be filled with calm, joy and safety in His presence. We also lift up your daughter and your household travels and daily activities to His keeping.
