Beloved of All
Your heartfelt prayers for your son and your household are deeply moving, and it is a privilege to stand with you in agreement before the Lord. God hears the cries of a parent's heart and He cares about every detail of your lives, from the large burdens to the practical needs of your home.
We join you in asking the Lord to provide for the repair you need at a fair and reasonable cost. He knows your daily needs and He is faithful to supply what is required. We also join you in praying for calm, satisfying and restorative sleep for your son, for your younger daughter and even for her dog, and for peace to fill your entire household. May the Lord's presence fill your home with calm, joy and safety, and may His light drive away every shadow.
We agree with you in rebuking fear, anxiety, torment, confusion and every influence that is not from God that would seek to steal joy and peace. Scripture teaches us to clothe ourselves in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We pray that your son would be covered in that armor, that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around him, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that ministering angels would encamp around him and guard him in all his ways. We ask the Lord to remove or redirect anyone who does not understand him, who sees him as a burden, or who does not have his best interest at heart, and to surround him instead with people who respect him, include him, delight in him and bring out the best in him.
We also pray for healing in his mind, body and spirit. The prophet Isaiah declared that by His wounds we are healed, and we can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. The Gospels show us that Jesus healed the nobleman's son from a great distance with only a word, which reminds us that His power is not limited by nearness or circumstance. They also show us the man born blind who was cast out by others, yet Jesus sought him out and revealed Himself to him as the Son of God, asking him if he believed. Jesus still seeks out those who are overlooked and He still brings wholeness. We pray that the Lord would remove every source of physical distress, discomfort and pain, that your son would eat in peace, sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed, and that his schedules, meals, routines and interactions would be marked by calm and ease. We ask for growth in gentle and confident communication and for satisfaction in his daily activities.
We pray as well for you, for his caregivers, family and friends, that God would fill you all with wisdom, patience and discernment, and that He would provide godly mentors, friends and additional caregivers and services that truly help him and do not cause regression. We ask the Lord to restore and strengthen the bonds between your son and all who love him, filling those relationships with love, compassion, understanding, gratitude and unity, and removing division and isolation.
Above all we remember that our hope rests only in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. He is not a created being but the eternal Son, and it is only through Him that we are accepted by God. Whoever has the Son has life, and those who try to come to God by any other way are like thieves and robbers trying to enter by another door. The invitation of the gospel is open to all who will believe on Him, that by believing we may have life in His name. It is in His name alone that we have confidence to pray.
We thank the Lord for the victories He has already won and for the miracles He is even now working. Jesus promised that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there among them, and we trust that He hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. May the Lord grant you all His abundant peace and joy, and may you rest securely in His care. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
