Cease from this torrent of anxious words, this endless enumeration of evils to be rebuked. You weary yourself with many commands, as though God needed to be instructed or the demons persuaded by your vehemence. Lay aside this noisy warfare of the tongue, and enter into the quiet of true prayer. The Lord knows your son’s affliction far better than you can describe it. Did He not say, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him”? Why then do you multiply words to exhaustion, itemizing every fear, every sickness, every potential disturbance, as if His ear were dull?

The peace you seek for your son will not be obtained by shouting down the powers of the air. That is to give them more honor than they deserve. Look instead to the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep. He needs no command to act for your child’s welfare. His love is not stirred by our length of speech, but by the faith that clings to Him in stillness. When you rebuke and command so many things, you reveal a heart in tumult. But where is your trust? If you truly believed He has already granted healing, you would give thanks with a calm and steady voice, not with this frantic repetition that betrays fresh anxiety with every breath.

Consider that our Lord Himself said, “I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Do not imagine that the Christian life promises an absence of storms. The sword He brings cuts away our reliance on visible ease, on schedules undisturbed, on nights without interruption. What He desires is a soul that remains steadfast though every outward thing be shaken. You ask that your son never again suffer setback or confusion. But God may permit these very trials to teach you both to cling to Him alone. The true peace that surpasses understanding is not the absence of trouble, but a deep tranquility in the midst of it, born of charity and unfeigned faith.

You speak of a special anointing on his meals, on his sleep, on his travels, as if holiness were a material thing to be sprinkled here and there. But the one true Anointing was poured out once for all on the cross, and it is His blood that cleanses the conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Do you not approach the holy table? There is the medicine of immortality, the remedy for every soul-sickness. Instead of lengthening your prayers with anxious pleadings, go to the mysteries with faith, and there receive for your son, by your own communion, the very life of Christ. That sacred participation does more to heal the hidden depths of a person than all your words of rebuke.

And what is all this about commanding things to “flee gently forever and never return”? Such prayer is unseemly and shows a puffed-up mind. You are not set as a judge over the spirits; you are a sheep of the fold. The apostle says, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” He does not say, “Follow warfare and rebuke.” Your son’s soul will not be won by your commands, but by your patient endurance, your gentle humility, your own inner peace. The torment you see in him is often a mirror of the agitation in the household. Let your own spirit be quieted first, and you will see a change greater than any you have demanded.

I do not say these things to wound you, but to guide you to a more excellent way. Your love for your child is evident, and that love is from God. But love must be rooted in faith, not in fear. You have bound yourself with the cares of this life, and they choke the word. Loosen your grip on each circumstance. Entrust your son entirely to the King of Righteousness, the King of Peace, who has made peace through the blood of His cross. When you pray, let your words be few and full of thanksgiving, not a catalogue of sorrows. Say, “Lord, have mercy on my son according to Your great compassion,” and be silent. Let the groanings of the Spirit intercede. Then go forth and bear whatever comes with a noble soul, knowing that even this trial works for your salvation and his, if you receive it with humility.

Your son is not healed by your striped words, but by His stripes. That healing has already been accomplished in its fullness. Therefore, stand unmoved. Do not suffer your foot to be shaken by every report of agitation or each disrupted meal. Guard your heart, and the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, not through your shouting, but through the quiet victory of Christ already won for you.

You are standing on solid ground, holding fast to Jesus as the One who has all authority over every tormenting thought, every bodily distress, and every spiritual attack. The cry of your heart echoes the names Leah gave her sons: “Look, a son” because the Lord sees your affliction, and “Hearing” because He has heard your prayer. He is not distant from the sleepless nights or the struggle at mealtimes. He sees, He hears, and He acts.

Your prayer draws from the deep well of truth that Jesus bore our stripes not only for sin but also for the healing of the body and mind. When Matthew applied Isaiah’s prophecy to the sick who were healed, he showed us that the physical brokenness of Christ’s body reaches into the real pains of this life, autism, sensory torment, stomach distress, and every anxiety that robs peace. As you remember His broken body, you are not merely recalling a symbol; you are releasing the reality that by His wounds your son is being made whole. That is not a distant hope; it is present tense provision.

The way you rebuke the negative habits and spiritual attacks is right, because the battle is not against flesh and blood. The enemy wants to wear you down with frustration and fear, but the weapons God gives you are not carnal. The Word you declare, the faith you exercise, and the prayer you pour out are mighty through God to pull down strongholds. When you command those spirits of torment, agitation, and fear to leave in Jesus’ name, you are not begging; you are enforcing a victory already won. The centurion understood this: he knew that Jesus only needed to speak the word and his paralyzed, tormented servant would be healed. That same authority is yours in Christ, and it does not depend on how your son looks or feels in the moment.

Remember the father of the prodigal. He did not wait for his son to clean up before he ran to him, embraced him, and restored the robe, the ring, and the shoes of sonship. In the same way, your son’s identity is not defined by his setbacks or developmental struggles. He is a son of the Most High God, and the Father has already placed the shoes of sonship on his feet. Every setback, every confused mealtime or restless night, is not the final word. The Father is ready to put the robe of peace over him again, to kiss away the shame of the mess, and to feast with joy over his restoration.

The One who stilled the storm with a word can calm the inward storm that rises in your son’s mind and body. The same voice that commanded the evil spirits to be quiet can silence the tormenting thoughts that disrupt his sleep and his eating. Jesus shows us that spiritual healing takes first place because everything else flows from it. So stand firm in the truth that your son’s spirit is secure in Christ, and the physical and emotional healing follows. You are not asking for something that belongs to another age; you are tapping into the unending compassion of the Son of God, who has power over sickness, over the senses, over the demonic realm.

When weariness comes, do not let go of the confession that your son is not “Benoni”, son of misery, but “Benjamin,” the son of the right hand. God is not only the God of the breakthrough after the fact; He is the God who moves while you are still speaking. The peace that surpasses understanding will guard both your son and your household, not because you are perfect in your asking, but because Jesus is perfect in His intercession. Keep wielding the spiritual weapons, keep declaring the promises, and rest knowing the Father’s arms are already around your son, gently replacing every rigidity and fear with the calm of His presence.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your precious son. It is our joy and privilege to lift him before our Heavenly Father, interceding for his peace, healing, and protection. We have prayed fervently that the Lord would calm every storm within him, surround him with His perfect peace, and fill his heart, mind, body, and spirit with restful sleep and joyful days.

As the days have passed, we continue to trust that God is at work in your son’s life in ways both seen and unseen. If the Lord has answered your prayers—if your son has experienced peaceful nights, calm meals, and a joyful spirit—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give thanks together and encourage others with the goodness of God.

If, however, the struggles persist and you still need our prayers, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to stand with you. We believe in the power of persistent prayer and the faithfulness of our God to move on behalf of your son. We will not grow weary in lifting him up, declaring healing over his mind, body, and spirit, and rebuking every spiritual attack in Jesus’ mighty name.

We pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen your faith as you trust in Him. May He fill your home with His peace, guide your son’s caregivers with wisdom, and bless every aspect of his life with His favor and protection. May your family experience the comfort of His presence and the hope of His promises as you walk this journey together.

With love and continued prayer, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
