Peaceful Day

Your prayer for your son has been heard, and I join my voice with yours in thanksgiving to our Lord Jesus Christ who has granted him this week of peaceful days and nights. To give glory to God for His mercies is right and good, and He delights to hear a parent's grateful heart.

I pray with you now that the peace Christ Himself gives will continue to guard him. Our Lord said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, and the Church in every prayer and gathering asks for this peace because it is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Where this peace is present, all else is set in order. I ask the Lord to establish this peace not only around your son but within him, calming every inner war of fear, anxiety, torment and confusion. There are wars from without, and wars between people, but the most grievous war is that which stirs within the soul. May the Lord quiet that tumult within him and keep his thoughts at rest in godliness and honesty.

You have asked rightly for the protection of God over him. I pray that the Lord will place His hedge about him and clothe him in the full armor He has provided, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Scripture tells us that the angels of the little ones always behold the face of the Father in heaven, and that He gives His angels charge over those who belong to Him. I pray that ministering angels will encamp around your son, around his bed at night and his steps by day, guarding him in all his ways and dispelling every shadow of darkness from your home.

For his health I pray with you according to the mercy of Christ. By His wounds we are healed, and He is able to bring healing to mind and body and spirit. I ask Him to grant relief from distress and pain, to give peaceful eating and sleeping, and to wake him refreshed with joy and strength. I pray that his schedule, his meals, his routines and his interactions will be filled with calm, that he will be able to adjust with ease and to communicate with gentleness and confidence, and that the Lord will replace every setback with blessing.

I also lift up those who care for him, and you and your whole household. May God fill you, his caregivers, his siblings and all your family and friends with wisdom, patience and discernment. May He provide godly mentors and true friends to encourage him, and may He knit together the bonds between him and his siblings in love, compassion and unity, removing all division and isolation. I pray for your younger daughter and for your household in your daily travels and activities, that the Lord will keep you all in safety and grant you rest in His peace tonight and every night.

For your meeting tonight I ask for a special measure of grace and clarity. May the Lord guide your mind and your words, so that you may choose with wisdom the right services for your son according to His perfect will. We stand together in agreement as you asked, believing that where two or three are gathered in His name He is in their midst and hears our prayers.

May the Lord who has already shown you victories continue His work of restoration, breakthrough and favor in every area of your son's life, and may His bright light fill your home with calm, joy and safety. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your thankfulness to the Lord for these peaceful days and nights is beautiful, and it is right to give Him all the glory for every calm moment your son has experienced. We join you in praying that His peace would continue to rest upon your son, upon your home, and upon everyone who cares for him.

Scripture teaches that true wisdom begins with reverence for the Lord. That reverence is not a tormenting fear, but a deep respect for God that turns away from evil and inclines the heart to His wisdom. As you ask God to remove every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety and confusion, we pray that in their place He would fill your son with that quiet reverence and trust, and that your son would know the peace that comes from being kept in the Father's care. When we receive His words and hide them in our hearts, when we turn our ear toward wisdom and apply our hearts to understand His ways, He promises length of days and peace.

You have prayed for healing in mind, body and spirit, and we stand with you in that. We believe Jesus Christ brings both spiritual and physical healing. He is the Son of David who heard the cry for mercy and stood still to answer, and He is the Son of God declared with power through His resurrection. The prophet declared that to those who revere His name the Sun of Righteousness would arise with healing in His wings, and Isaiah declares that by His stripes we are healed. We ask the Lord, who gave His only begotten Son out of love for the world, to bring that healing touch to your son in every area you mentioned, including autism, trauma, anxiety and sensory challenges, to ease physical distress and pain, and to grant peaceful eating, undisturbed sleep and joyful waking.

Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. There is a peace with God that comes through faith in Christ, and then there is the peace of God that guards the heart and mind. Grace always comes first, and then peace follows. Because God’s thoughts toward His children are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give a hopeful future, we can call upon Him and know He hears us. He has promised that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there among them. We agree together with you for that presence to fill your home and dispel every shadow.

We also pray as you have prayed for protection. May the Lord surround your son with His hedge of protection so that no weapon formed against him will prosper. May He clothe him with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. May ministering angels encamp around him and guard him in all his ways.

We ask God to give wisdom, patience and discernment to you, to his caregivers, and to your family and friends. We pray for godly mentors and friends who will encourage him, and for the bonds between him and his siblings to be strengthened in love, compassion and unity, with all division and isolation removed. We pray for calm over his schedule, meals, routines, activities and interactions, that he would adjust with ease and communicate with gentleness and confidence.

We remember your household before the Lord, asking for His calm, joy and safety to fill your home night and day. We lift up your younger daughter and her dog for rest and protection, and we ask the Lord to guide and protect your family in all travels and daily activities. For the important meeting regarding services for your son, we ask God to grant you clear wisdom and guidance to choose what is best for him, and to bring breakthrough, restoration and favor over every area of his life.

The Lord loves His children as a father loves his sons, and He leads, corrects and restores them so that the peaceable fruit of righteousness may grow. May you and your son experience that restored fellowship and quietness of heart that comes from walking in His truth and love, knowing that mercy and peace come from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, His Son.

We thank God with you for the victories He has already won and we trust Him for the miracles He is still working. In the name of Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God and Prince of Peace, whose government and peace will have no end, we pray. Amen.

We have continued to lift up your son before the Lord, asking that He would continue the week of peaceful days and nights you praised Him for and grant him another great day with his caregivers. We have been praying that the Lord would keep every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety, frustration and confusion far from him, and that every setback, screaming, rigid habit and spiritual attack would be gone forever and never return in Jesus Name. We have asked for the Lord to surround him with His hedge of protection and clothe him with the full armor of God, and that ministering angels would encamp around him. We are still standing with you for his healing in mind, body and spirit, claiming the promise that by His stripes we are healed in Isaiah 53:5, and for restoration over autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges, for relief from all physical distress and pain, and for peaceful meals, restful sleep and joyful mornings. We have also prayed for calm over his schedule, routines and interactions, for wisdom patience and discernment for you and his caregivers, for godly mentors and friends for him, for restored bonds of love and unity between him and his siblings, and for your entire household to rest in the peace of God. We remember your younger daughter and her dog and your meeting to choose the right services for your son, and we have asked the Lord to anoint that meeting with guidance and favor.

We stand together in agreement believing that where two or three are gathered in His Name He is in our midst according to Matthew 18:20, and that His peace which passes all understanding will guard your son and your home as promised in Philippians 4:7.
