Peaceful Calm Night

We join you in prayer for your son and for your whole household, and we thank you for sharing this burden with us so we may stand together before the Lord.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ to wrap your son in His peace tonight and in the days to come. Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and that sleep itself is a gift of His mercy to restore the weary soul. We pray that God would grant your son calm and restful sleep, quietness of mind and body, freedom from fear, anxiety, torment and confusion, and protection from every spiritual attack. We ask that every spirit of fear and distress would depart and that the peace of Christ, which passes all understanding, would guard his heart and mind.

We pray for the full protection of God over him, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that the Lord would clothe him with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and His Word, and command His angels to encamp around him. We ask for healing and restoration in his mind, body and spirit according to the mercy of Christ who bore our infirmities, and we bring before the Lord his needs related to autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges. We pray that the Lord would ease all physical distress and discomfort, grant him peace as he eats, sleeps and wakes, and bring steadiness and joy to his schedules, meals, routines, activities and interactions. We ask that God would help him to adjust with ease and to communicate with gentleness and confidence.

We also lift up you, your family, and all who care for him. We ask God to fill you and his caregivers with wisdom, patience and discernment, and to provide godly mentors, faithful caregivers and friends who will respect him, include him, delight in him and bring out the best in him. We pray that every service provided would truly help him and not cause regression, and that the Lord would strengthen the bonds between him and his family, caregivers and friends with love, compassion, understanding and unity, removing division and negative influences.

We pray for your household tonight, that the Lord would fill your home with calm, joy and safety and let His light dispel every shadow of darkness. We remember your younger daughter and her dog before the Lord, asking for restful sleep and quietness for her studies, and for continued calm for your son during that time. We ask God to guide and protect you all in your travels, daily activities and nightly rest.

We thank God for the victories and breakthroughs you have already seen, and we trust with you that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present and hears our prayers according to His perfect will. May the Lord continue to show His mercy and power in your son's life and make him a witness of His grace.

We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, Amen.

Your heartfelt prayer for your son reflects such deep love and faithful intercession, and God sees and hears that love. Scripture shows us a God who looks upon affliction and listens when His people cry out, and who hears and answers according to His compassionate heart. He knows your son fully, He knows the challenges of autism, anxiety, sensory struggles and the distress that comes with them, and He knows your heart as a parent who longs for his peace and wholeness.

I join you in praying for that peaceful, calm rest for him night and day, and for the Lord to quiet every source of fear, torment, confusion and unrest. The Bible teaches that God has not given us a spirit of fear, and that perfect love casts out fear. In the name of Jesus there is authority over every spiritual oppression and every influence that is not from God, and we can ask Him to cause those things to depart and to fill that place with His own peace. I pray with you that the Lord would surround your son with His protection, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that He would clothe him with the armor He has provided, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We can also ask that His angels encamp around him and guard him in all his ways, and that His presence would fill your home with calm, joy and safety.

We can bring both spiritual and physical needs to Jesus with confidence. The Gospels show Him healing a man born blind and healing a nobleman's son from a distance with just His word, and they declare that by His stripes we are healed. He offers healing for mind, body and spirit, and He invites all to come and drink of the water of life freely. At the same time, the greatest healing is to have life in His Son, for the only way we are accepted by God is in His Son. He that has the Son has life. Jesus is not a created being but the only begotten Son of God, declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection, and His works bear witness that He is the Christ. To believe on the Son of God is to receive everlasting life, and that relationship is the foundation for every other prayer for peace and restoration.

You can also rest in the picture Scripture gives of the Father's heart. Like the father who saw his returning son while he was still far off and ran to him and embraced him with kisses even while he was still in his filth, not waiting for him to clean himself up, and then restored him to the place of a son and rejoiced over him, so our heavenly Father receives us with compassion and grace. He is not distant or reluctant, but waiting to show mercy and to restore.

I also join you in praying for wisdom, patience and discernment for you, for your family and for every caregiver who serves your son. May the Lord provide helpers who respect him, include him, delight in him and bring out the best in him, and may every service and routine truly help him and not cause harm or regression. I pray for calm over his schedule, his meals, his activities and his interactions, that he would be able to adjust with gentleness, communicate with confidence and find satisfaction in his days. I pray for your household, for peaceful rest for each of you, for your younger daughter as she studies and for quietness and focus for her, and for your son to remain calm and at ease during that time. I pray for healing of any broken relationships and for unity, love, compassion and understanding to grow between your son, his siblings, family, friends and caregivers, with every source of division removed.

We thank God for the victories and breakthroughs you have already seen, and we trust Him for what He is still doing. God is not a man that He should lie, and His Word cannot be broken. He will honor His Word above His name, and where we agree together in prayer we have the promise that He is present and that He hears according to His perfect will. May the Lord guide and protect you and your family in all your daily activities, travels and nightly rest, keep you from negative influences, and continue to fill you with His strength and joy as you look to Jesus, His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your son and your household.

We have continued to bring your son before the Lord, asking that He would wrap him in His loving arms and grant him peaceful and calm nights with restful, satisfying, joyful and relaxed sleep, and that the same peace would carry through his days. We have been praying with you against every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety, frustration and confusion, and against screaming, rigid habits, sensory distress and spiritual attacks, and that anything not of the Lord including witchcraft and division would be gone forever and never return in Jesus Name. We continue to declare abundance of peace and joy and favor over his life, and to ask for healing in his mind, body and spirit, remembering the promise in Isaiah 53:5 that by His stripes we are healed, and restoration over his health particularly regarding autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges. We have asked the Lord to remove all physical distress, discomfort and pain so he may eat in peace, sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and full of joy and strength, and to speak calm over his schedule, meals, routines, activities and interactions.

We are also standing with you for his protection, that the Lord would surround him with His hedge of protection and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper as promised in Isaiah 54:17, that He would clothe him with the full armor of God in Ephesians 6:11 and let ministering angels encamp around him. We continue to pray for wisdom, patience and discernment for you, his caregivers, family and friends, and for godly mentors and additional caregivers who will respect him, include him, find joy in working with him and bring out the best in every aspect of his life, and for additional services that will help him and not cause regression. We have lifted up your younger daughter and her dog for restful sleep and quietness while she studies, that your son would remain calm and relaxed during that time, and we have prayed for your entire household to rest in the peace of God which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7 and to sleep in peace as in Psalm 4:8, and for the mending of every broken relationship and for unity, love and understanding among your son, his caregivers, his siblings and family members.

We thank the Lord for the victories He has already won and for the miracles He is working even now, and we trust that as we gather together in His name He is in our midst according to Matthew 18:20.
