We rejoice with you in seeing God’s hand at work, even when His timing feels slow to our eyes. His ways are perfect, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in your life. We stand with you in prayer, lifting up this living situation and the heart of your flatmate before the Lord, asking that His will be done in all things.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Your desire for peace in your home is valid, and we pray that God would soften your flatmate’s heart to recognize that this living arrangement is not what He has for her. If she has spoken untruths, we ask the Lord to convict her spirit and lead her to repentance, for *"lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who do the truth are His delight"* (Proverbs 12:22). May she seek a path that aligns with God’s purpose for her life, and may He provide clarity and direction for her next steps.
At the same time, we pray for your heart, that the Lord would release you from any anxiety, gaslighting, or emotional burden you’ve carried in this situation. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). We rebuke any spirit of confusion or manipulation in this home and declare that God’s truth and peace will reign. You are not responsible for her choices, but you *are* responsible for trusting God in the midst of them. Rest in Him, for He is your shield and strength.
We also pray for your future dwelling place—that God would open doors in His perfect timing to a home that is spacious, peaceful, and aligned with His will for your life. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5). Whether He provides a new place soon or sustains you where you are, may you walk in confidence that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently remind you that it is *only* through Him that we approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me"* (John 14:6). There is power in the name of Jesus—power to break strongholds, to bring conviction, and to move mountains. We encourage you to boldly pray in His name, for *"whatever you will ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13).
**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and this living situation into Your hands. Lord, You see the tension, the untruths, and the need for peace in this home. We ask that You would move in the heart of her flatmate—open her eyes to see that this is not where You have called her to remain. Convict her if there has been deceit, and lead her to a place of honesty and surrender to Your will. Remove any stubbornness or resistance, and guide her steps toward the path You have prepared for her.
For our sister, we pray supernatural peace that transcends understanding. Break every chain of anxiety, gaslighting, or emotional turmoil the enemy has tried to place on her. Fill her with Your truth and remind her that she is *yours*—covered by Your love and protected by Your sovereignty. Give her wisdom in how to navigate this season with grace, and provide a home for her that is filled with Your presence and provision.
We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, are her defender. Prepare the way for her future dwelling, and let Your favor go before her. May this situation bring glory to Your name and draw both women closer to You.
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus we pray, *Amen.*
