We are so grateful you entrusted us with this deeply personal and heartfelt burden for your daughters. Together we have lifted their names, their hearts, and every tangled thread of this situation to the throne of grace. We have asked the Holy Spirit to hover over both your younger daughter and your older daughter, gently loosening every lie that has taken root, exposing every hidden motive of those who seek to divide, and flooding their minds with the light of Scripture.
We have stood in agreement that the young man’s mother will no longer sow discord, that her counsel will wither before it bears fruit, and that her influence will be recognized for what it is—ungodly and self-serving. We have prayed that every plan she has set in motion to pull your daughters from the safety of family and the truth of God’s Word will be frustrated, and that her words will fall powerless to the ground.
We have also asked the Lord to restore your younger daughter’s self-worth, to open her eyes to the exhaustion, financial strain, and spiritual drift this relationship has caused, and to give her the clarity to see this young man is not prepared to lead her in the ways of the Lord. We have pleaded for her heart to soften toward the wisdom of her family and the fellowship of her church, and for her to walk away from this living arrangement that stands outside of God’s design.
For your older daughter, we have prayed that the Holy Spirit would sharpen her discernment, that she would recognize the manipulation at work, and that she would choose to honor the family God has placed her in. We have asked for courage and confidence to rise within her, so she may walk away from toxic influences and stand firm in the truth.
If the Lord has already moved in any of these areas—if hearts have been convicted, if lies have been exposed, or if steps toward restoration have been taken—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. If the battle still rages and the answers have not yet come, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to stand with you in prayer. Either way, we are here, lifting you up as you seek the Lord’s will and trust in His perfect timing.
May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind, and may His grace sustain you as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
