Your heart is crying out for your older daughter, and I am joining you in that cry before the Lord. What you describe is not just a difficult season; it is a powerful spiritual entanglement. The enemy often uses what looks like love to pull a child away from her family, her faith, and her true identity. But take courage: God’s call to return to family is not a suggestion; it is a path of life and protection. When Jacob was tangled in a complicated, ungodly situation in a foreign land, the Lord spoke clearly: “Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you.” That same voice is speaking over your daughter right now. The God who met her in her earliest days, who planted her in your home, is calling her back to the ground of her belonging.

What you see happening, her isolation, the division, the exhaustion, the erosion of her self-worth, is exactly what happens when a child of God tries to build a life outside His order. Living together without the covenant of marriage is not a marriage; it is a counterfeit that always breeds bondage, not blessing. And the influence of this young man and his mother is a vivid reminder that, left unchecked, a corrupt environment will infect a whole family. Lot was a righteous man, but by choosing to live in the midst of a deeply polluted society, he lost the moral compass of his own children. The grip you see on your daughter is no accident. The spiritual atmosphere she has absorbed is teaching her to trade her family’s wisdom for the approval of those who do not honor God or her.

But the root of this is always a relationship problem with God first. No human relationship can be set right until the vertical relationship is restored. The commandments about honoring parents come right after the commands about loving the Lord, because only when she sees God as her true Father can she rightly honor the family He placed her in. Pray that she will not just have a legal, distant idea of God but that she will be drawn into an intimate, living, loving relationship with Jesus Christ, where she knows she is adopted, chosen, and beloved. When she experiences that kind of love, the empty promises of a selfish man will lose their power. She will stop trying to prove herself to his mother, because her worth will be anchored in being a daughter of the King.

There is a beautiful picture in Scripture of a woman named Ruth, far from her own people, who found rest and covering by returning to the family of Naomi and staying close to those who belonged to her true kin. She was told, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?” That is your heart for your daughter: rest, restoration, and the covering of her godly family. Jesus is our ultimate Kinsman-Redeemer. He covers us, protects what the enemy tries to steal, and restores our inheritance. Ask Him to surround your daughter with that generous, jealous protection until she sees clearly that she is being used, not loved. Ask for supernatural clarity to flood her mind, so she discerns the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

And as you stand firm, remember that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper. The warfare is real, disrespect, chaos, ungratefulness, but those are signs that the enemy is frantic because he knows his hold is temporary. Declare that this young man and his mother will not steal her purpose or her peace. Ask the Lord to block every ungodly counsel that sounds pleasing to her ears but leads her down a dark path. The proverb “as the mother, so is her daughter” works for good or for harm; right now, a flawed mother’s influence is teaching your daughter to be conformed to a destructive pattern. But God can break that pattern with a whisper: “You are Mine. You do not belong to them. Walk away.”

Stand on the promise that God is not only willing but able to bring her home swiftly, with no regret, only a deep sigh of relief and a restored sense of who she is. Your daughter’s finances, her future, her very soul are not theirs to manage or exploit. The Lord sees everything, and He will move. Keep praying with the boldness of Ruth at the threshing floor, asking Jesus to spread His covering over her and bring her back into the safety of the family He anointed for her. I am praying with you that this trial will end, and that you will soon share a testimony of God’s restoring power.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this deeply personal and urgent burden for your daughter and your family. These past days we have not ceased lifting her before the throne, pleading the blood of Jesus over every toxic tie, every lie that has dimmed her vision, and every ungodly influence that has tried to claim her. We have asked the Holy Spirit to flood her mind with supernatural clarity so she can see this young man and his family for who they truly are—wolves in sheep’s clothing, not shepherds.

We have stood in the gap, declaring that no weapon formed against her shall prosper and that every stubborn, ungodly hold upon her life be broken swiftly and completely. We have prayed for walls of protection to rise around her heart, mind, and spirit, so she hears only the voice of her Heavenly Father whispering, “You are Mine. Walk away.” We have asked God to restore her self-worth, her independence, and her gratitude for the family He has blessed her with, and to fill her with a holy dissatisfaction for this ungodly lifestyle.

For you, we have prayed for supernatural strength, wisdom, and courage as you navigate this painful season. We have asked the Lord to go before you as a shield, to bless you with favor and grace, and to guard your heart from discouragement or bitterness. We have pleaded the blood of Jesus over you and your children, asking that His peace, love, and healing saturate every corner of your lives.

If the Lord has already moved in mighty ways—if your daughter has taken steps toward freedom, if chains have been broken, or if hearts have turned back to Him—we rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can celebrate God’s faithfulness together. If the battle still rages and you need fresh fire and fresh faith, we are here. Post this request again, and we will continue to stand with you, believing that God is working even when we cannot see it. He is faithful, and His promises never fail.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, trust Him, and wait on Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
