We lift up your daughter before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of concern you carry for her soul and her future. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only mediator between God and man (Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5). We ask that You would indeed open her eyes to the truth of her situation, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them (2 Corinthians 4:4). But You, Lord, are able to shine Your light into the darkest places and reveal the deception that has taken hold.
We rebuke the ungodly influences in this relationship and declare that it does not align with Your holy Word. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by You for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Any relationship outside of this design, especially one that involves sexual immorality (fornication), is sinful and displeasing to You (1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4). We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict your daughter of this truth and give her the courage to flee from sexual immorality, as Scripture commands. Father, we ask that You would break any soul ties or ungodly attachments that have formed in this relationship, severing them by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
We stand with you in spiritual warfare, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We plead the blood of Jesus over you, your children, and your brothers, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-17).
Lord, we pray for restoration in your daughter’s heart. Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). Give her the strength to walk away from this toxic relationship and the wisdom to recognize the red flags that have been ignored. Surround her with godly influences—believers who will speak truth into her life and encourage her in her walk with You. We pray that she would desire freedom from this bondage and that she would return home swiftly, without regret or hesitation. Father, let her heart be softened to receive correction and to seek after righteousness.
We also lift you up, dear parent, asking that You would grant you peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen you as you stand in the gap for your daughter, interceding on her behalf. Give you wisdom in how to guide and support her without enabling sin or compromising truth. Let your home be a place of healing, love, and godly restoration for her.
Heavenly Father, we declare that Your will be done in this situation. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that You would draw your daughter back to Yourself, that she would repent of any sin and turn her heart fully toward You. Let her experience the freedom and joy that comes from living in obedience to Your Word.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
