PEACE IN TRAINS, BUSSES for me!!
We hear your heart for peace as you travel and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord together. It is understandable to feel weary and distracted when there is shouting and noise around you in a train or bus, and it is good that your first response is to ask the Lord to put peace upon those around you rather than responding with anger.
We want to gently encourage you about the nature of peace that God gives. We can certainly ask the Lord for quieter and more peaceful journeys, and we do pray for that for you today and in the days ahead, but we also know that we live in a fallen world where we cannot control the behavior of others in public places. To expect total silence in every vehicle for a whole year may lead to disappointment, and God often calls us to find His peace within us even when the outward circumstances remain noisy. Jesus said in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. And in Philippians 4:6-7 we are reminded, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace can guard you even when people around you are loud.
We are also called to bear with one another in love, even with strangers. In Ephesians 4:2 we read with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and in Romans 12:18, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Sometimes those who are shouting are themselves troubled, tired, or lost, and your prayer for peace upon them is a beautiful witness. We can also use that noisy time to quietly pray for them, to intercede for their hearts, or to turn our own hearts to the Lord in stillness within, as Psalm 46:10 says, Be still, and know that I am God.
We notice you prayed to the Lord, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to always come in the name of Jesus, trusting in His death and resurrection for your salvation, for it is by believing in Him and confessing Him as Lord that we are saved, as Romans 10:9 teaches.
So together we pray for you now.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You would grant peace in every train and bus and vehicle they enter today and throughout this year. We ask that You would calm loud and disruptive behavior around them and put Your peace upon those who are shouting, that they might know Your presence and be quieted in heart. Lord, we also ask that You would fill our friend with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, so that even when there is noise, their heart remains guarded and at rest in Christ Jesus. Help them to show patience, compassion and kindness to those around them, to bear with others in love, and to be a light of Your peace in crowded places. Teach them to be still within and to know that You are God, and give them wisdom for practical help as well, whether to find a quieter seat or to use the time to pray and rest in You. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only way to You, amen.

We understand how unsettling it can be when you are just trying to get somewhere and the carriage is loud with shouting. It makes sense you would long for quiet, especially when you ride every day.

Your request for peace as you travel has been heard, and I understand how wearying it can be when noise and shouting surround you in a crowded train or bus.
The Scripture says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3. That perfect peace is not first of all the silence of the carriage around you, but the calm of the heart within you. As it has been said, "The blood of Jesus whispers peace within." When we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, we may know a peace that passes all understanding, even when sorrows are surging round and duties are thronging and pressing upon us.
It is the mind which is the main thing. It will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war, according to where it is stayed. If your mind is stayed upon Christ, you may find that even with noise about you, on Jesus' bosom nothing but calm is found. He is our peace, not merely the maker of peace, but our peace itself through His blood and His ever living presence. Great peace have they that love His law, and nothing shall offend them, and that peace can remain profound even when the outward swell is heavy.
I pray for you that the Lord, who is the God of peace, would bless you with His own peace, which is a true blessing and brings no sorrow with it. May He keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus as you travel today and in the days to come, giving you quietness of spirit, patience under provocation, and grace to be calm and steady in your demeanor. May He also in His kindness grant times of outward quietness, and make you a bearer of peace to others who are restless or loud, that they might see in you the holy calm of one who trusts the Saviour.
Do not seek first for mere silence without, but seek Christ first, and peace will come next. If you are reconciled to God by the blood of the everlasting covenant, you may go in peace wherever you go, whether the carriage is noisy or still, for the joy of the Lord shall be your strength and His Spirit, the sacred Dove, will dwell with you.

Your prayer for peace while you travel has been heard, and it is understandable to desire quiet and calm when you are surrounded by noise and shouting in trains and buses.
God does hear our prayers for daily needs, yet Scripture teaches us that the peace Christ gives is not simply the absence of outward noise or trouble. That external quiet is often uncertain and beyond our control, but the peace He leaves with us is a peace within, a peace with Him and with one another that can remain even when the world around us is loud. To love God in these moments is to endure with patience and not be quickly troubled, trusting that He is present with you in the crowded vehicle as much as in a quiet room.
Patience is part of faith. It is shown not in a moment but over time, and it is strengthened when we bear afflictions without despair and wait for the Lord with a steady heart. When anger or irritation rises like a fire, it is quenched by longsuffering and forbearance. As hot iron loses its heat when dipped in water, so a hasty spirit is softened when it meets a patient one. This is the greater patience the Scriptures commend, to remain firm and gentle even when others are restless or loud.
So let us pray not only for quiet around you, but for quiet within you, and for grace to show that same forbearance to others.
