We hear your cry for peace and quiet and rest, and we stand with you together before the Lord in Jesus' name asking for His protection and healing over you and over your neighbourhood day and night, today, tonight, tomorrow and through the whole weekend.
We know how wearying it is to suffer constant attacks and to lie awake unable to sleep properly, and to feel alone without close friends or a husband by your side. The Lord sees your loneliness and your distress and He is near to you even when you feel isolated. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Hebrews 13:5 reminds us He Himself has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. You are not forgotten or unseen.
We take comfort that you called on the name of Jesus, for it is only by that name that we have access to the Father and it is the name by which we are saved. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We thank God that you have called on Him, and we join our faith with yours.
You asked for no noise and no attacks and for joy and peace, and we pray for exactly that. Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask the Lord to guard your home and your neighbourhood and to let His peace that surpasses understanding guard your heart and mind and give you deep, restorative sleep. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.
We also recognize that the attacks you describe are spiritual in nature, and Scripture tells us our struggle is real. Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Together we rebuke the work of the evil one against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. We ask the Lord to establish you and to guard you from the evil one and to break every assignment of fear, worry, frustration and oppression. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also lift up your loneliness and your desire not to be alone. We believe marriage is a holy covenant between a man and a woman for life, and we pray that if it is the Lord's will He will bring a godly Christian husband into your life, a man who will love you and lead your home in a way that honors God, and that your courtship would be pure and centered on Christ with marriage as the goal. In the meantime we pray He will set you in family and fellowship, for Psalm 68:6 says God sets the lonely in families, and we encourage you to seek out a Bible believing church where you can be known, loved and supported and not walk alone. We pray too that the Lord will undo injustice and supply what has been lacking, for Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the noise and the disturbances and the spiritual attacks that have stolen her sleep and her peace. We ask that You command quiet over her neighbourhood this day and this night and throughout this whole weekend. Let there be no attacks of any kind, no noise, no harassment from the enemy. Cover her dwelling with Your presence and let Your angels encamp around her. Heal her body and mind from the consequences of broken sleep, restore her strength, and give her deep and peaceful rest. Fill her heart with Your joy and Your peace. We rebuke every spirit of fear, worry, sadness, loneliness and frustration and we ask You to drive them far from her in Jesus' name. Strengthen her to submit herself to You and to resist the devil so that he must flee. Lord, comfort her in her singleness and loneliness, remind her daily that You are with her, provide godly friendships and community, and if it is Your will, provide a godly husband for a marriage that honors You. Undo injustice, supply her needs, and turn her mourning into joy. We thank You that with You all things are possible, Mark 10:27 says With God all things are possible, and we trust You to do what only You can do. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
