Silas
Beloved of All
Even in a cabin at 35,000 feet, the promise remains: perfect peace belongs to those whose mind is anchored steadfastly in God. Anxiety dies down not when the circumstances shift, but when your attention shifts, when your inner gaze turns from what might happen to the One who holds every moment. That peace is not a fragile feeling the world gives; it’s the very peace Jesus Himself carried, and He leaves it with you. He spoke of a peace the world cannot offer and cannot understand, a peace that stands guard over your heart and your racing thoughts.
That peace flows out of something deeper: the war is over. Through the cross, peace with God has been made, and what remains is not performance but resting. You belong to Him. As you sit there in your seat, you can breathe in that reality. His intentions toward you are not for harm but for wholeness, so even this trip is under His quiet, sovereign care. The turbulence inside is calmed by the trust that He is keeping you.
I am praying with you now, asking the Lord to let that strong, sweet peace settle over your mind and body, to remind you of His nearness, and to make the rest of the journey smooth. You are not alone; you are held by the Prince of Peace.
