I want you to know that your prayer has been heard, and I join you in bringing this burden before the Lord. PCOS can feel relentless, and it’s completely understandable that you’re crying out for a miracle, for God to remove it entirely from your body. I believe God can do that. Jesus healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases when He walked the earth, and He still works powerfully today. So I will pray with you for a complete cure, because nothing is impossible for Him.
At the same time, I want to remind you of something we see in Scripture that gives us a much bigger picture of how God works. There’s a story about a blind man Jesus healed, but it didn’t happen all at once. After Jesus prayed for him the first time, the man could only see people looking like trees walking. Then Jesus touched him again and his sight was fully restored. It’s the only recorded miracle where there was a gradual healing. That tells me that sometimes God’s healing comes as a process. Sometimes it’s instant; sometimes He walks with us through a longer journey. The process itself is still divine, because the God who created our bodies also designed the processes of nature and medicine. Even when healing unfolds slowly, it’s no less His hand at work.
We don’t always understand why some people are healed suddenly and others are not. The apostle Paul himself experienced this. He had what he called a thorn in the flesh, and he pleaded with God three times to remove it, but God said no. It wasn’t because Paul lacked faith or had secret sin. Timothy, whom Paul mentored, dealt with frequent stomach ailments, and Paul gave him practical advice rather than a miraculous word of healing. So it’s clear that God doesn’t heal every sickness in every person, and the reasons are often hidden in His eternal purposes. That can be hard to accept, but it means your worth and God’s love for you are not measured by whether a miracle happens on our timetable.
I don’t want you to think that God is indifferent or that He’s punishing you. Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses on the cross, as Matthew tells us. That means He cares deeply about your body, but it also means the deepest healing He offers is the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. That’s the greatest miracle anyone can receive, and it’s yours already if you trust in Christ. The rest, as wonderful as physical relief would be, is secondary. Your salvation is something that can never be taken away.
So I’m praying for you: Lord, we ask for a miracle. We ask that this PCOS would be completely removed from her body, in Jesus’ name. But we also trust that even if the healing comes gradually, or through medical wisdom, or even if it doesn’t come right now, You are still good. You are still working in her mind and heart, bringing wholeness in ways that may be unseen. Give her patience, courage, and a deep sense of Your nearness. Let her know that her body is not a mistake, and that her value is secure in Christ.
Lean into God’s grace day by day. Seek wise medical care along with prayer, because both can be channels of His healing. And if you ever wrestle with disappointment, remember that even Jesus sometimes chose not to speak a word of healing for everyone He met (like Herod, who only wanted a spectacle). He meets you with compassion, not as a performer. The same hands that healed the sick are holding you right now. You are not forgotten.
