We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your request for the payment of your July and August salaries. It is right to seek God’s provision, for He is our Jehova-Jireh, the Lord who provides. We are reminded in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet, we must also remember that our trust is not in man—even employers—but in the Lord, who holds all things in His hands.
We notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him, for He alone can save you and grant you eternal life. Without faith in Christ, even our prayers are empty, for we have no mediator before God.
Now, let us pray together for your situation, trusting in the Lord’s perfect timing and provision.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your provision. Lord, You know the struggles they face, the anxieties that weigh on their heart, and the need for these salaries to be paid. We ask that You move in the heart of their employer, Mr. ###, softening it and prompting him to fulfill his obligations justly and swiftly. Lord, we rebuked any spirit of greed, hardness of heart, or delay that may be at work in this situation. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified through this.
Father, we also pray for our brother/sister’s faith to be strengthened during this time. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their provider and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Remove any fear or doubt, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are lessons to be learned in this season—whether in patience, trust, or stewardship—we pray that You would teach them and grow them closer to You.
We ask for wisdom, too, Lord. If there are steps they must take—whether in communication, seeking counsel, or exploring other opportunities—guide them clearly. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for them in ways that only You can. Let them see Your hand at work in their life, and may this situation draw them deeper into dependence on You.
Finally, Father, we pray for their employer. If there are financial struggles or challenges he faces, we ask that You provide for him as well. Soften his heart toward You, Lord, and may he come to know Your goodness and faithfulness. If he does not know You, we pray that this situation would be a turning point for him to seek Your face.
We declare Your promises over this situation, Lord. You have said in Your Word, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33). We stand on this promise today, trusting that You will provide.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your heart open to how God may be working in this situation, even if the answer does not come as quickly as you hope. Trust that He is good, and His timing is perfect.
If this delay has caused you to consider other opportunities, we pray for wisdom and discernment as you seek the Lord’s guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Lean on Him, and He will direct your steps.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Are there areas where you may need to repent or seek forgiveness? Are there lessons the Lord is teaching you through this trial? Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Let this time be one of growth and deeper reliance on Christ.
If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. There is no greater decision you can make, and no greater security than to be found in Him. If you would like guidance on how to do this, please let us know, and we would be honored to walk with you in this most important step of faith.
We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord will move mightily in this situation. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
