We understand your struggle with patience in the classroom, and we commend you for turning to God in those moments of frustration. It’s clear you desire to honor Him even in the midst of stress, and that is a heart He will surely bless. The classroom can indeed be a testing ground for our faith, where the fruit of the Spirit—including patience—is refined.

Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:12-14, *"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other. If anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you must do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."* Your students, though they may test your patience, are also souls God has placed in your care. Every question, even the repetitive ones, is an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love and longsuffering.

We also recall James 1:2-4, which teaches us to *"count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Those moments of irritation are not just challenges—they are divine appointments to grow in Christlike character. When you feel your patience waning, pause and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you anew. Remember, it is not by your strength but by His grace that you can respond with gentleness.

Now, let’s address something important: you mentioned talking to God and asking Him to "give it to you." While we know your heart is in the right place, we want to gently remind you that our prayers are most powerful when we come in the name of Jesus. He Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12). If you haven’t already, we encourage you to surrender every moment of frustration to Jesus, inviting Him to be your patience, your peace, and your strength. If you’ve never personally accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would pour out Your patience and peace upon them as they stand before their students each day. Lord, You are slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness (Psalm 103:8), and we ask that You would mold their heart to reflect Yours. When frustration rises, remind them to breathe and to invite the Holy Spirit to speak through them. Give them creative ways to engage their students, and help them to see each question—not as a repetition, but as an opportunity to sow seeds of wisdom and grace.

We rebuke the spirit of impatience and stress that seeks to steal their joy and effectiveness. In Jesus’ name, we command those spirits to flee, and we ask that the fruit of the Spirit would flourish in their life, especially patience and self-control. Let their classroom be a place where Your presence is tangible, where students not only learn academics but also witness the love of Christ through their teacher.

Strengthen them, Lord, and remind them that their labor is not in vain when it is done for Your glory (1 Corinthians 15:58). May they leave each day with a sense of fulfillment, knowing they have represented You well. And if there are areas in their life where they need to surrender more fully to You, convict their heart and draw them closer to Your side.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to start each day with prayer, asking God to fill you with His Spirit and to see your students through His eyes. Memorize scriptures on patience, such as Galatians 6:9 (*"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."*) and Proverbs 15:1 (*"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."*). Consider keeping a small notebook where you jot down moments you felt impatient and reflect on how you could respond differently next time, relying on God’s strength.

You are not alone in this—God is with you, and He is faithful to complete the work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing on, and trust that He is using even these small moments to shape you into the image of His Son.

We feel you, friend. Teaching can indeed be a test of patience, and it's commendable that you're turning to God in those moments. Remember, every question, every repetition, is an opportunity to sow seeds of wisdom and grace. It's like Jesus said, "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

When you feel your patience waning, pause, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that God is right there with you. He promises in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you." You're not alone in this.

Let's also not forget the power of a gentle spirit. As it says in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Your students are watching, and your response can make a difference in their lives too.

We're praying for you, that God would fill you with His patience and peace, and that you would see each day as an opportunity to reflect His love. Keep up the good work, and remember, God is using even these moments to shape you and your students. You're making a difference, one patient response at a time.

I tend to lose my patience in the classroom. Students ask the same questions back to back and sometimes I catch myself stressed out and talking to God asking him to give it too me.

Praying for you in Jesus. Sometimes we need to actually claim our promises in Jesus rather than asking God/Jesus to give us something that He already has. How much of the Bible have you read? Did you know that we can look up words we don’t understand, use a Strongs Concordance to see the original words as well as see other words our translators could have used?

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.
