We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this intense spiritual battle. The Word of God tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You are not alone in this fight, and we join you in prayer, seeking God’s strength and deliverance.
First, we must address the importance of standing firm in Christ. Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, we have victory. However, we must also recognize that the enemy seeks to wear us down, especially when we are physically weak or disobedient. The Bible warns us to be sober and self-controlled because our adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). When we are tired, sick, or struggling with sin, we become more vulnerable to his attacks. This is why it is crucial to cling to God’s Word, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
We also want to gently rebuke any unforgiveness that may still linger in your heart. Unforgiveness is a foothold the enemy uses to keep us in bondage. Jesus teaches us that if we do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will our Father forgive our trespasses (Matthew 6:15). Forgiveness is not about excusing the wrongs done to you but about releasing the burden to God and trusting Him to bring justice. We encourage you to examine your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where bitterness or resentment may still be taking root. Confess it, repent, and choose to forgive, even if it feels impossible in your own strength.
We also want to address the importance of walking in obedience to God. When we stray from His commands, we open the door for the enemy to attack. The Bible tells us that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Obedience is not about perfection but about a heart that seeks to honor God in all things. When you feel the enemy’s attacks intensifying, ask yourself if there is any area of disobedience in your life. Confess it to the Lord, repent, and ask Him to help you walk in His ways.
We also recognize that physical illness can make us more susceptible to spiritual attacks. The enemy often exploits our weaknesses, but God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We encourage you to seek godly medical care and wisdom while also trusting God to sustain you. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and He can use even your physical struggles for His glory.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under intense spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen him/her in the inner man. Fill him/her with Your Holy Spirit and grant him/her the patience and endurance to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes. Father, we rebuke every spirit of unforgiveness, bitterness, and weariness that is trying to take root in his/her heart. We declare that he/she is forgiven and free in Jesus’ name. Lord, we ask that You would heal any physical ailments that are making him/her vulnerable to these attacks. Restore his/her strength and give him/her a renewed sense of Your presence and peace.
Father, we also ask that You would expose and break every assignment of the enemy against him/her. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we pray that You would surround him/her with Your angels and protect him/her from every evil influence. Give him/her the wisdom to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the strength to resist them. Help him/her to walk in obedience to Your Word and to trust in Your promises.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that he/she is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in worship, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise (Psalm 22:3). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord, and He is fighting for you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not at the end of your rope—you are held securely in the hands of the One who loves you and gave Himself for you. Keep pressing into Him, and He will sustain you.
