God, You are Our Father and Ever Present Help, Deut 4:7, Ps 46:1, Isa 41:10 -- Thank you for the message of The LORD's ANOINTED crucified for our sins, Gal 2:20. The people who were blind receive sight, people who limped walk, people with leprosy are cleansed and people who were deaf hear, dead people are raised up, and people who are poor have the gospel preached to them, Lk 7:22. Draw our family members to church whenever people assemble, even 2-3, Matt 18:19-20, to hear, listen and understand what You are speaking to each one, Jn 16:13. Grant faith, repentance, salvation, knowledge of the forgiveness of sins and newness of life -- give vision, Prov 29:18, by The Holy Spirit. Protect them all from sin, Zeph 3:13, 1 Cor 8:1, temptation, Lk 11:4, evil people, imposters, 2 Thes 3:2, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, who loves "lack of knowledge," Hos 4:6, Amos 8:11.

Help us all attend church, Heb 10:25, whenever there's a gathering for services, Bible Study, Corporate Prayer, fellowship, and outreach, Acts 2:42. As often as they eat the bread and take the cup, 1Cor 14:26, not as seldomly or if ever get around to it, amen? Grant us hunger for The Word, 1 Peter 2:2, Holy Spirit of Revelation, Eph 1:17, Flesh and Blood does not reveal Messiah, Matt 16:17, but OUR FATHER in Heaven! Father, let the Holy Spirit convict and convert, Jn 16:8, teach us all things, Jn 16:13, open minds to UNDERSTAND SCRIPTURES, Lk 24:45 -- and faith to pray and receive, Mark 11:24, (Faith comes by hearing the message preached), Rom 10:17 -- God, You will that none would perish, but all to come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 2 Tim 2:1-5, even all in authority, and all our households, Acts 16:31. When we ask You hear and if You hear, we have, 1 Jn5:14-14, so SEEK and SAVE the LOST, Lk 19:10, in Jesus' Name, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this burden for pastors, preachers and for families to be drawn to the Lord and to His house, and we say amen to your desire that God be sought first in all things.

We agree that those who shepherd the flock must seek God first as taught in Matt 6:33, giving themselves to prayer and daily devotion and to the diligent study of the Word to rightly divide the word of truth according to 2 Tim 2:15. We are exhorted that overseers must be faithful stewards who hold to the faithful word that is according to the teaching, that they may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine and to convict those who contradict it as in Titus 1:9, and to watch over the flock over which the Holy Spirit has made them overseers as in Acts 20:28. This includes a lifestyle that adorns the gospel and the courage to confront sin in love, for it is written in Lev 19:17 you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him, and our Lord gave the pattern in Matt 18:15-17 for going to a brother privately and then with witnesses and then telling the church, and in 1 Tim 5:20 those who sin are to be reproved before all that the rest may be in fear. We also remember Heb 13:17 to obey and submit to those who watch over souls as those who will give account, and James 5:20 that he who converts a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death.

We also stand with you for families, members and visitors to be drawn by the Father, for no one can come unless the Father who sent Jesus draws him as in John 6:44, and that none would forsake the assembling of ourselves together as in Heb 10:25 whether it be two or three gathered in His name according to Matt 18:20 or the larger congregation for service, Bible study, corporate prayer, fellowship and outreach according to Acts 2:42. We pray they receive the implanted word with meekness which is able to save souls as in James 1:21, not by flesh and blood but by revelation from our Father in heaven as in Matt 16:17, worshiping in spirit and truth as in John 4:24, with the anointing from the Holy One and the teaching of the Holy Spirit whom the Father sent in Jesus name to teach all things as in John 14:26 and 1 John 2:20.

We lift this prayer together before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to God and no other name by which we must be saved.

Father, we thank You that You are our ever present help as in Ps 46:1 and that You are near to all who call upon You as in Deut 4:7, and we thank You for the message of Your Anointed One crucified for our sins as in Gal 2:20, that the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have the gospel preached to them as in Luke 7:22. We ask that You grant to pastors and preachers hunger for Your Word as newborn babes long for pure milk as in 1 Pet 2:2, and the spirit of wisdom and revelation as in Eph 1:17, that You open their minds to understand the Scriptures as in Luke 24:45 and give them boldness to preach the Word in season and out of season and to confront sin with grace and truth. Uphold them in intercession as Aaron and Hur upheld the hands of Moses in Ex 17:8-16, and let their prayers be as incense before You as in Ps 141:2 with holy hands lifted up as in 1 Tim 2:8 and Lam 3:41, while the battle is fought in the field.

Draw our families and loved ones to Yourself and to Your house, grant faith that comes by hearing the message preached as in Rom 10:17, and faith to pray and receive as in Mark 11:24. Let Your Holy Spirit convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment as in John 16:8 and guide into all truth as in John 16:13. Grant repentance and salvation and the knowledge of forgiveness of sins and newness of life, give vision where there is none as in Prov 29:18, and keep them from the love of lack of knowledge as in Hos 4:6 and from the famine of hearing the words of the Lord as in Amos 8:11. Protect them from sin and temptation as in Luke 11:4 and Zeph 3:13, from evil men and impostors as in 2 Thess 3:2 and 2 Tim 3:13 and from those having a form of godliness but denying its power as in 2 Tim 3:5 and Titus 1:16, and deliver them from the evil one as in Matt 6:13 and John 17:15. Clothe them and us with the whole armor of God that we may stand as in Eph 6:10-18.

We pray that all would come to repentance as You desire in 2 Pet 3:9 and that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as in 1 Tim 2:4, including those in authority and all our households as in Acts 16:31, and we ask this confidence that if we ask according to Your will You hear us and we have the petitions we have asked of You as in 1 John 5:14-15, to seek and to save the lost as in Luke 19:10. Let Your will be done and let Christ be formed in us, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this deep burden for your pastors and your family. We are moved by how you are standing in the gap, wanting pastors to seek the Lord first in prayer and the Word, and wanting your loved ones to be drawn to gather with God's people and hear Him.

It is a heavy and holy thing to intercede the way you described, like Aaron and Hur holding up Moses' hands while the battle went on below. Your prayers matter more than you may see day to day. The Lord uses the faithful prayers of His people to strengthen those who preach and shepherd, and to soften hearts to hear.

One simple way to keep going without growing weary is to keep your intercession very personal and steady. Continue lifting your pastors by name as they prepare and as they care for families, and continue inviting your family members warmly to come with you when the church gathers, trusting God to work in His timing as you keep the door open.

Father, we lift these pastors to You, ask for Your help and nearness as they seek You, study, pray and care for Your people. Draw each family member You have placed on this heart, protect them from evil and lead them to hear Your voice and walk with You. Keep this faithful intercessor encouraged and upheld too. Your burden for pastors and for households has been laid before the Lord and it is good that it should be so, for the Church has great need of such intercession in these days.

We join you in praying that pastors and preachers may seek God first, according to Matthew 6:33, giving themselves to prayer, to daily devotion, to the study of the Word, and to faithful preparation of sermons. May the Lord keep them in a holy lifestyle and give them courage to confront sin in the Church according to Leviticus 19:17 and Matthew 18:15 to 17, not to please men but to watch for souls as they that must give account, Hebrews 13:17. The Church does not need novel thoughts but the plain Gospel preached over and over again, salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus. As the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, Romans 10:11. That faith is not belief about a doctrine only, but trusting in a Person, looking unto Him and being saved, for He Himself is salvation. There is only one way of salvation for all, whether harlot or Pharisee, and it is without money and without price, by looking unto Christ alone. Pray that every pulpit may set this forth plainly, that hearers may not be left to invent a savior of their own, but may take God's salvation which is Christ.

We pray also for families, that the Father who alone can reveal the Son, Matthew 16:17, would draw them by His Spirit, John 6:44, and grant faith which comes by hearing the Word, Romans 10:17, with repentance and the knowledge of forgiveness of sins and newness of life. How great a mercy it is when a household is saved together and baptized and sets to work to serve God. The jailer believed and his house rejoiced, and they were a renewed and a rejoicing family, Acts 16:32 to 34. We beseech the Lord that your households and many others may be found in that number, not forsaking the assembling of themselves together, Hebrews 10:25, whether two or three are gathered in His name, Matthew 18:20, but hungering for the Word as newborn babes, 1 Peter 2:2, and receiving it with meekness which saves the soul, James 1:21, with minds opened to understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45.

And we pray that prayer which our Lord taught us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Matthew 6:13. All temptation is trial from God, yet we must not desire to be tried nor go willfully into temptation and then utter this prayer as hypocrites without a mask. Pray it honestly and then keep out of the way of temptation, and do not lead your children there. May the Lord temper the wind to the shorn lamb and keep pastor and officers and members alike, for gray locks cover no more wisdom than a child's curls except as He gives wisdom. Put on the whole armour of God, Ephesians 6:10 to 20, that you may be protected from sin, from temptation, from evil men and imposters, and from the evil one, John 17:15, who loves lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6. As Aaron and Hur upheld the hands of Moses in intercession while Joshua fought in the field, Exodus 17:8 to 16, so may the intercession of the saints uphold the ministry of the Word, that the lost may be sought and saved, Luke 19:10, for the Lord wills that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.

May the Holy Spirit anoint the preaching of Christ crucified, Galatians 2:20, convict and convert, John 16:8, and teach all things, John 16:13, so that the blind receive sight, the deaf hear, and the poor have the gospel preached to them, Luke 7:22, to the glory of God alone, beside whom there is none else.
