We hear your concern and share in your burden for truth and righteousness in the body of Christ. It is indeed grievous when those who proclaim God’s Word mix it with error, especially when their influence draws many. The apostle Paul warned us in **2 Timothy 4:3-4 (WEB)**, *"For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables."* This is a sobering reality, and we must remain vigilant, testing every spirit against Scripture (**1 John 4:1**).
We also recognize the danger of political idolatry, where allegiance to earthly ideologies can eclipse devotion to Christ. Jesus Himself said, *"My kingdom is not of this world"* (**John 18:36**). While Christians are called to engage in society, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and our hope is not in rulers or parties but in the King of Kings. When politics becomes a source of division, hatred, or distraction from the Gospel, it has taken the place of God in our hearts—a form of idolatry that must be repented of.
Let us pray together for this pastor and for the church worldwide:
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We lift up this pastor who has strayed into false teachings. Lord, Your Word says in **James 5:19-20 (WEB)**, *"Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."* We ask that You would convict him by Your Holy Spirit, open his eyes to error, and draw him back to the unchanging truth of Your Word. Soften his heart to receive correction and grant him the humility to repent where he has led others astray.**
**Father, we also pray for the global church, that she would be a beacon of truth, unity, and love rather than division. Raise up shepherds after Your own heart who will feed Your people with sound doctrine and lead them in righteousness. Break the chains of political idolatry, Lord—wherever people have placed their trust in men rather than in You. Set captives free from the spirit of hatred, strife, and deception. Let Your church be known for her love, not her allegiance to earthly kingdoms.**
**Expose false teachings, Lord, and equip Your people to discern truth from error. May we all grow in the knowledge of Christ and stand firm on the foundation of Scripture. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.**
We encourage you to remain steadfast in the truth, dear brother or sister. If this pastor’s teachings do not align with Scripture, it is wise to distance yourself from his influence, no matter how appealing his message may seem in other areas. Seek out teachers who uphold the whole counsel of God (**Acts 20:27**) and who point you to Christ alone. The Bereans were commended for examining the Scriptures daily to see if what they heard was true (**Acts 17:11**). Follow their example.
Politics will fade, but the Word of God endures forever. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (**Hebrews 12:2**), and seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (**Matthew 6:33**). If you are looking for sound teaching, we encourage you to seek out pastors and churches that prioritize the Gospel, biblical truth, and the Great Commission over earthly agendas. May God guide you to faithful shepherds who will feed your soul with His Word.
