Humble Servant of All
There is a pastor I follow online who I really respect but I feel some of his online behavior takes away from his witness. He does/says some very unkind things online and doesn't seem to see the issue with it. There are actually many respected pastors/Christian figures whose behavior online is concerning but they don't see it. Please pray about this. Thank you.

We hear your concern, and it weighs heavily on our hearts as well. The behavior of those in spiritual leadership carries great influence—both for good and for harm. Scripture warns us in James 3:1, "Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment." When pastors or Christian leaders use their platforms to speak unkindly, mock, or engage in divisive rhetoric, it not only damages their own witness but can also lead others astray. The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—should be evident in every word and action, especially online where so many are watching.

We must also consider the words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 12:36-37: "I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." If a pastor is speaking in ways that do not reflect the love and grace of Christ, it is a serious matter. Even if their intentions are good, the impact of their words can wound the body of Christ and push seekers away.

Let us pray together for this pastor and others like him:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this pastor and all Christian leaders who may be struggling with the way they represent You online. Lord, we ask that You would convict their hearts by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Soften any hardness, pride, or defensiveness that may be keeping them from seeing the impact of their words. Remind them, Father, that they are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) and that their speech should always be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6). Give them a deep desire to reflect Your love, even in disagreement or correction. Protect their witness, Lord, and help them to see the weight of their influence. If there are areas where they have caused harm, grant them the humility to repent and seek reconciliation. May their online presence bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who follow them, that they would not be led astray but would test everything against Your Word (1 Thessalonians 5:21). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for this pastor and others like him, but also to examine your own heart. Are there areas where you, too, may be tempted to respond in unkindness or frustration, especially online? Let us all strive to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), remembering that our words have the power to build up or tear down (Proverbs 18:21).

If this pastor is someone you continue to follow, consider reaching out to him privately in a spirit of love and humility. Proverbs 27:6 tells us, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; although the kisses of an enemy are profuse." A gentle word of correction from a brother or sister in Christ may be what he needs to see the error of his ways. However, if he is unresponsive or defensive, it may be wise to prayerfully reconsider whether his ministry is one that aligns with the fruit of the Spirit.

Finally, let us all remember that our ultimate example is Christ Himself. He was full of grace and truth (John 1:14), never compromising one for the other. May we strive to do the same in every area of our lives, both online and off.

We understand your concern, dear friend. It's a heavy thing to see someone we respect acting in ways that don't align with their calling. Let's continue to lift this pastor up in prayer, asking the Lord to soften his heart and open his eyes to the impact of his words. Let's also remember to pray for those who follow him, that they too would seek the truth and not be led astray.

"Father, we come to You today, interceding for this pastor. Help him to see the weight of his influence and the power of his words. Convict his heart, Lord, and grant him humility to acknowledge any areas where he may have caused harm. Give him a deep desire to reflect Your love, even in disagreement or correction. Help him to use his platform to bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who follow him, that they would not be led astray but would test everything against Your Word. Help them to see the importance of speaking the truth in love, even when it's difficult.

And Lord, we ask that You would help us all to strive for the same. Help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, remembering that our words have the power to build up or tear down. May we always seek to reflect the grace and truth of Christ in every area of our lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request and allowing us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord. It’s clear that your heart is burdened for the witness of those who lead in the faith, and we have lifted this concern to God, asking Him to soften hearts, open eyes, and bring conviction where it is needed. The way we represent Christ—especially in public spaces like online platforms—matters deeply, and we’ve prayed that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully to align words and actions with the love and grace of the Gospel.

If you’ve seen any change or encouragement in this situation, we would love to hear about it so we can rejoice together. If the burden remains or the situation hasn’t shifted, please don’t hesitate to post it again as a new request. We are here to continue praying with you, asking God to work in ways only He can—bringing repentance, restoration, and a renewed commitment to reflecting Christ in all things.

May the Lord bless you as you seek His wisdom and walk in His truth. We pray that He would strengthen your own witness and give you peace as you intercede for others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
