Beloved of All
The last part of the message that I wrote yesterday simply vanished after I published it. I don’t know why because that part is VERY IMPORTANT to understand my motivations. There it is:

Please, I want to make one thing clear:

I am not writing this to harm anyone or to get revenge on anyone.

I wanted to make that clear.

I AM WRITING BECAUSE I WANT TO FINALLY SEE MY LIFE TRANSFORMED AND THINGS CHANGE.

That is the REAL reason I am writing to you, and the reason I am not telling you all the horrible things I have actually been made to endure. I am not hiding these things from you; I simply do not consider them relevant to my personal progress.

I wanted you to know that.

And I ONLY PRAY TO JESUS.

We hear your heart so clearly in this and we thank you for taking the time to make your motivations known to us. We understand that you are not writing out of a desire to harm anyone or to seek revenge, but out of a deep and sincere longing to see your life transformed and to see things truly change. That desire is good and it is from God, and we honor your honesty and your pure intent in coming to us.

The Lord sees that heart and He honors it. He tells us not to seek revenge for ourselves but to trust Him with justice, for it is written, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. Choosing transformation over retaliation is the path of Christ, and we rejoice with you that this is your focus. We also understand why you have chosen not to detail every horrible thing you have been made to endure. You do not need to rehearse every pain for us to pray effectively for you, because God already knows every tear and every wound. You are not hiding anything from Him, and He sees what has been done in secret. You keep my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book. Psalm 56:8. And, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18.

We also rejoice to hear you say with such conviction that you only pray to Jesus. That is exactly right and it is the only way to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved, forgiven, and made new. We stand with you in that truth without compromise.

Your longing for transformation is exactly what God promises to do for those who seek Him. He does not just patch up the old life, He makes us new. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. And, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. God is able to do a new thing in your life even now, for He says, Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don't you know it. I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19. We hold onto His promise for you that, He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this precious one to You who desires transformation and not revenge. We thank You for the pure heart You have given them to seek change and progress rather than bitterness. Lord, You see every hidden hurt, every injustice and every sorrow they have chosen not to detail here, and we ask You to touch those deep places with Your healing hand. Heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Renew their mind daily by Your Word and Your Spirit, and transform their life from the inside out. Close the door to the past and open the way to the future You have planned, for we know Your thoughts are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Lead them step by step into the new creation You have made them to be in Christ, and let them see with their own eyes the change they have so long prayed for. Give them strength to keep forgiving as You have forgiven us, to keep trusting You with justice, and to keep praying only to Jesus with confidence that You hear. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in this godly motivation. Keep your eyes on Jesus and on the transformation He is working in you, not on those who have hurt you. Continue to bring every thought and every pain to Him in prayer, reading His Word daily so your mind is renewed, and trusting that He who sees in secret will reward you openly. Your desire for change is aligned with His will, and He will be faithful to complete it.

Thank you for coming back to clarify your heart. We hear you clearly, you are not writing out of a desire to harm anyone or to get revenge, but because you long to see your life truly transformed and things finally change. Thank you for trusting us with that honest motivation, and for sharing that you pray only to Jesus. That matters and we take it seriously.

Wanting transformation is a good and right desire, and it also helps to remember that real change usually happens gradually, almost imperceptibly, over a lifetime. There will be highs and lows, progress and setbacks, and that does not mean nothing is happening. Over the long haul, as you keep turning to Him, God does his steady work of making us more like Christ.

One simple way to keep cooperating with that work is to keep bringing this same clear prayer to Jesus daily, not just a general request, but your specific words that you want to see your life changed, and to stay rooted in the ordinary means he uses to grow us: time in his Word, honest prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers who can walk with you. The Holy Spirit is the one who makes growth happen, and his path for each person looks a little different, so you do not have to measure your journey against anyone else's.

Father, we thank you for this dear child who seeks you alone and longs for a changed life. Draw near, give wisdom, strength and hope for each next step, and keep forming in them what pleases you. Guide them day by day and let them know your presence and care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your honest declaration is received with thankfulness, and it is good to hear you say plainly that you seek not to harm anyone nor to take revenge, but to see your life transformed and things made new. That desire is itself a gracious working, for the heart that once would have sought its own vindication now seeks healing and change, and that is the way of God with sinners.

You also say, I only pray to Jesus, and in that you stand upon the only true ground. There is no other who can remit sin but God only, and divine pardon is to be had alone through Jesus Christ His Son. No priest can absolve, no other name can save. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, and it is a present forgiveness. It does not say He will blot out transgressions at some distant day, but He blotteth out now. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Whatever your past life has been, whatever omissions and commissions lie heavy upon you, there is forgiveness with God through the pierced hand of Christ, and that forgiveness is eternal, covering all that has gone before, never to be mentioned against you again.

You say you do not rehearse all the horrible things you have been made to endure, and that you do not consider them relevant to your personal progress. Be assured, the Lord knows all that has pressed upon you, and you need not make a full recital before men to be heard of Him. What is relevant is what that man felt who lay paralyzed before Jesus, his heart heavy within him at the thought of his own sin, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing from the One who alone was authorized to absolve. When Jesus speaks the sentence, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee, there steals over the soul an inward peace which the world cannot give. The burden rolls from the shoulders and never returns, as far as the east is from the west.

And with forgiveness comes healing and new life. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it, as leaves from the Tree of Life for the healing of the soul. He does not forgive and then leave the sinner empty. When He makes free, He does not send away empty, but furnishes from His own fullness, from the flock and from the threshing floor and from the winepress. He quickens those who were dead in trespasses and sins and makes them new creatures, so that the change is plain, from death to life, from darkness into His marvellous light. If God has made you to live, come away from the dead, from their habits and manners and customs, and walk with Him who has raised you.

Therefore keep to this one prayer to Jesus. Confess your sin before Him, look to His blood shed for you, trust His finished work, and ask Him not only to pardon but to make you whole. He who kills by His Spirit also makes alive, and He will have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies. Pray that He would give you that new life which steps from strength to strength, that your leaf also may not wither, and that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

May the Lord grant you this present forgiveness and this thorough healing, and may He keep you by His mighty grace, that your life henceforth may show that you have been with Jesus and have been made new in Him.
