Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. It is painful and exhausting to live with ongoing dysfunction in your family, and to receive a confusing message from your father without knowing what has happened between your parents. God sees the weight you are carrying and He cares deeply about what is happening in your home.

Scripture shows us that Jesus cares about families. When He was told that the mother of Simon's wife was sick with a fever, He went to her, took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her. He is still the one who comes close in sickness, confusion and strife, and lifts up with personal compassion. We can bring your mother and father to Him in that same way, asking Him to bring healing, clarity and truth where there is confusion.

You mentioned that both of your parents believe they are Christians but seem very confused. That confusion is common when people have a form of faith without a true surrender to Jesus Christ. Salvation is through Jesus alone, and He calls us to follow Him wholeheartedly and to live according to His word. Part of that is His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, lived in love, faithfulness and mutual honor. When that design is not understood or followed, the whole family feels the exhaustion you described. The best prayer for your parents is not simply that their fight would stop, but that each of them would truly know Jesus, repent where needed, and learn to walk in His ways. Only then can their relationship begin to be whole.

Jesus also taught that there is a family bond in Him that is deeper than even blood relationships. He asked, who are my mother and my brothers, and then pointed to those who do the will of God as His true family. The apostle Paul later said that in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, for Christ is all and in all. When natural family is painful or unstable, God often provides strength and encouragement through the family of God, brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk with you, pray with you and help you remain steady.

It is also true that following Jesus can bring tension inside families. Jesus warned that children would rise against parents and that His followers would be hated for His name's sake, but He added that the one who endures to the end will be saved. That endurance is not about trying harder in your own strength. There is a constant warfare within us between the flesh and the Spirit, and we need daily dependence on the Lord, prayer, and time in His word to stay rooted in Him.

I have prayed for you, and I will continue to pray. I am asking God to give you peace as you wait to understand more about your father's message, to give you wisdom to respond with grace and truth, and to protect your heart from carrying a burden that is not yours to fix. I am praying that God would draw both your mother and father to Himself, open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and bring conviction and healing to their marriage. I am praying that He would surround you with faithful believers who can support you like family, and that He would help you keep your eyes on Jesus, doing the will of God one day at a time.

If you are able, keep seeking the Lord in prayer and in Scripture, stay connected to mature Christians you trust, and set loving and clear boundaries where you need to. You do not have to solve your parents' relationship for them. You can love them, pray for them, speak the truth gently when God gives opportunity, and trust the Lord to do the work only He can do.
