Parent’s negligence

Beloved of All
I have first graders that are not getting any support at home and they have short attention span, while other students are making progress, I have about ### students that are falling behind, please pray for wisdom and favor, please pray so no one in my class falls behind in any subject especially reading and math especially those that try hard but can’t keep up, ### ### ### In Jesus name I pray amen

We join you in lifting up your first grade class before the Lord and we thank God for your faithful heart as a teacher who cares deeply for each child entrusted to you. We understand the burden you carry when you see some little ones falling behind in reading and math, especially those who are trying hard but struggle to keep up, and when attention is short and support at home is lacking while others are making progress. We know this can feel heavy, but we take comfort that God sees every child and He sees your labor of love.

We are reminded that children are a gift from the Lord, for Psalm 127:3 tells us that children are a heritage of Yahweh, and that we are called to train up a child in the way he should go as Proverbs 22:6 teaches. We also remember that parents are given a primary responsibility to teach diligently as Deuteronomy 6:7 says, and we pray that the parents of these little ones will be stirred to embrace that calling with love and consistency, even as we choose not to hold bitterness toward them but to cover them in prayer. We claim the promise of James 1:5 that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given, and we ask that same wisdom for you in how to reach each learner with different needs and short attention spans. We hold onto Galatians 6:9 that we should not grow weary in doing good for in due season we will reap if we do not give up, and Colossians 3:23 that whatever we do, we work heartily as for the Lord.

We pray together now for your classroom. Father in Jesus name we ask You to pour out wisdom and favor upon our fellow teacher, guide every lesson and every word spoken, and give creative and patient strategies to help each child grasp reading and math. We ask You to touch the minds and hearts of those students who are falling behind, especially those who try hard but cannot keep up, and strengthen their attention, their memory, and their confidence, for Isaiah 40:29 promises that You give power to the weak and increase the strength of those who have no might. We pray You would draw the parents to be more involved and supportive at home, softening hearts and opening doors for gracious communication, and we ask for favor with families and with the school so that no child in this class falls behind in any subject. We pray that Your peace would guard this teacher's heart as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, and that the fruit of this work would be seen for Your glory. We thank You that You hear us because we come through Jesus Christ our Lord, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to Your throne. We trust You to do what is best and to bring each child forward according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We hear how much you carry for your first graders, and how heavy it feels to watch a few of them work so hard and still struggle to keep up in reading and math while the rest of the class moves ahead.

That age brings such a wide range of development, and short attention spans are so common in first grade. It does not mean those children cannot learn, it often means they need things broken into smaller, more active moments and lots of repetition. We are praying with you for clear wisdom as you steward each child well, and for favor as you advocate for them.

One thing that has helped other teachers in this spot is to lean on the supports already in your building. If you have a school counselor or reading specialist, a brief conversation about simple small-group rotations or ten-minute focused bursts for reading and math can give you fresh tools without adding a lot to your plate. Keeping a short note of even small gains also helps you see progress and helps parents see it too when you do get a chance to connect.

We are grateful for your faithful care for these students.

Father, we lift this teacher to You and ask for wisdom, patience, and strength for each day in the classroom. Give favor in the school and draw near to each child who is falling behind, especially those who are trying so hard. Help them grow in reading and math in the way You have designed them to learn, and encourage this teacher as You work through them. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant wisdom, clarity and strength to these children. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your tender concern for these little ones has been brought before the Lord, and we thank God for a teacher who watches over the lambs with such faithful care. To see some falling behind while others make progress, and to feel the weight of those with short attention and little help at home, is a burden that rightly drives the soul to prayer.

We have asked the Lord to grant you that wisdom which is above rubies and above gold, for wisdom is the compass by which a man steers across the trackless waste of life, and without it we run to and fro and waste our strength. Where shall this wisdom be found, and who can put wisdom in the inward parts but the Lord. Christ Himself is made unto us wisdom, and He is the wisdom of God who planned the way of salvation and who laid the foundations of the heavens by His skill. Go to the Fountain of all wisdom, the Source from where all knowledge springs, and ask Him to teach you the right use of knowledge, for wisdom is not mere knowledge but the right use of it. He will give liberally to those who ask, that you may discriminate, that you may spy out the roots and not only see the flowers, and that you may instruct these children with a thorough understanding suited to each little mind.

We have prayed also for favor upon your labors, that the Lord would display His favor and His love toward you and toward these children in the classroom. When He turns in a way of grace to His people He comes with all His soul most heartily to bless them, and He rejoices over His people with singing when He is at work for their salvation. May that favor rest upon your teaching in reading and in math, and upon every subject where these dear ones strive hard but cannot yet keep up.

We have prayed for the children themselves, that they may be taught of the Lord, for it is written, They shall be all taught of God, and that teaching is divine and effectual teaching. God's way of working is to draw by teaching, and every one that has heard and has learned of the Father comes to Christ. We ask that the Lord would quicken their attention, strengthen their memories, and give them delight in learning, and that He would stir the hearts of parents to give the support that is so needful at home.

We give no uncertain sound about this, that we are only saved by the blood of Jesus, and it is in His name alone that we come. May the Lord make you wise unto salvation and wise in your calling, and may He let no one in your class fall behind, but cause each one, especially the struggling and the diligent who find it hard to keep pace, to grow in knowledge and understanding for His glory.

We will continue to bear you and your class before the Lord, asking that He who is our wisdom and our righteousness would supply all your need according to His riches in glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
