We join with you in lifting up your daughter before our heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing her need to us so we can seek God together in Jesus name.
We hear the distress in your request and our hearts go out to your daughter as she is experiencing a panic attack at her workplace. We know how overwhelming fear and anxiety can feel in that moment and we also hear that she is carrying a heavy burden of self condemnation over a breakoff and has even blamed God for allowing the relationship to begin. We want to gently and lovingly address these things with truth and grace.
The Lord does not want her to live under a spirit of fear or under a grudge against herself. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. When anxiety rises God invites us to bring it directly to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself says Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful John 14:27. We also cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7. God sees her at her workplace right now and He is near to her. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10.
We also hear that she holds a strong grudge against herself for causing the breakoff. The enemy would have us live in self condemnation but God calls us to receive His forgiveness and to walk in freedom. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. If God has forgiven her when she confesses, she can by His grace release that grudge against herself and receive the renewal of heart you prayed for. God promises I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26 and Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10. Blaming God is something many of us have done in pain and God is merciful to forgive when we turn to Him with a repentant heart. He is patient and His mercies are new every morning Lamentations 3:22-23. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Even a painful breakoff, especially in a courtship that was intended to discern marriage, can be used by God for her good and for His glory as He guides her toward His best in His good timing. We encourage her to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6 and to wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14.
You asked that God would send an angel to calm her and give her peace. We share your desire for her to feel comforted and protected and we know that angels are serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation Hebrews 1:14. Yet our peace and our help come directly from God Himself through Jesus Christ and it is to the Father we pray in Jesus name.
We notice your prayer mentions God but not Jesus Christ and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can be forgiven for blaming God, for self condemnation, and for all our sins, and receive peace that endures.
We pray together for her now.
Father in heaven we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this precious daughter to You. You see her in this moment of panic at her workplace, You know her heart, her racing thoughts, her fear, and the weight she carries over this breakoff. Lord we ask You to pour out Your perfect peace upon her now, to calm her mind and body, to steady her breathing and to guard her heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let her feel Your presence with her, that You are near, that You strengthen and help her. Forgive her Father for holding a grudge against herself and for blaming You in her pain. Wash her with Your mercy and grace, cleanse her as she confesses, remove her transgressions as far as the east is from the west, and renew her heart. Create in her a clean heart and a right spirit. Help her to forgive herself as You have forgiven her and to trust that You know what is best for her and that Your timing is good. Give her patience to wait on You and hope for the future You have for her, including if it be Your will a godly marriage that honors You. Let her know she is deeply loved, not condemned, and that You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage her to keep turning to Jesus in prayer throughout the day, to speak His promises aloud when fear rises, to breathe slowly and remember He is with her, and to share her struggles with a trusted mature believer. If panic remains intense, we encourage seeking wise counsel and medical support as well, while continuing to trust the Lord as her refuge. We stand with you both and trust God will continue His gracious work in her heart.
