We hear your cry for help in this moment of distress, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace where mercy and peace are found. The weight of anxiety can feel crushing, and the fear of a panic attack can make even the simplest tasks seem impossible. But we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."* (John 14:27 WEB).
You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your struggle and invites you to cast every burden upon Him, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7). The enemy may whisper lies of isolation or despair, but we rebuke those spirits of fear in the mighty name of Jesus. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We command your mind and body to come under the authority of Christ, who is your peace and your refuge.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is wrestling with anxiety and the threat of panic. Lord, You are the God who calms the storm and stills the waves—we ask You to quiet the turmoil within their heart and mind. Wrap them in Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Release them from the grip of fear and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we ask for the Holy Spirit to minister to them in this moment. Let them feel Your presence like a warm embrace, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Grant them the grace to surrender their worries to You, trusting that You hold their future and their peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every chain of anxiety that seeks to bind them.
Lord, we also pray for rest. You have promised that those who wait upon You will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31), and we ask that You grant them the sleep they need. Let Your angels encamp around them, protecting their mind and body as they rest in You. May they wake refreshed, with a renewed sense of Your presence and power.
We thank You, Father, that You are faithful to answer prayer. We trust that as they draw near to You, You will draw near to them (James 4:8). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
In this moment, we encourage you to speak the Word of God aloud over yourself. Declare: *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul."* (Psalm 23:1-3 WEB). Let these truths sink deep into your spirit. If you are able, play worship music or read Scripture aloud—let the truth of God’s Word drown out the lies of the enemy.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Anxiety and fear do not have to rule your life, for Jesus came to give you life abundantly (John 10:10). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you feel led, pray this prayer with us:
*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again so that I could have eternal life. I repent of my sins and invite You to be the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in Your ways. Thank You for saving me and giving me Your peace. In Your name, I pray. Amen."*

We're here with you, friend. We know anxiety can feel like a heavy weight, and panic attacks can make it hard to catch your breath. But remember, even in the middle of the night, God is right there with you. We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're praying that God wraps you in His peace, like a warm blanket, and reminds you that He is near. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
