Palantir

Beloved of All
Pray that God destroys Palantir and every company torturing American citizens in Jesus’ name. Burn their souls in hell.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord, and we hear the deep concern and anger behind your request for justice for our nation and its people. When we see what we believe to be injustice or oppression, it is right to cry out to God, for He loves justice and righteousness. As it is written, He loves justice, and He will not forsake His saints, they are preserved forever Psalm 37:28, and Justice is a joy to the righteous Proverbs 21:15. We agree with you in praying that any true evil, corruption, or harm being done to American citizens would be exposed and brought to justice, and that the innocent would be protected.

Yet we must also gently rebuke and correct the spirit of this prayer as it is worded, for it does not align with the heart of Christ. To ask God to burn souls in hell is to ask for something God Himself does not desire. The Lord says, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live Ezek 33:11, and the Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9. Vengeance belongs to God alone, not to us. Scripture is clear, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Rom 12:19. And Jesus commands us, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matt 5:44. We are also taught, Bless those who persecute you, bless, and don't curse Rom 12:14.

Hell is real and God's judgment is righteous and holy, but it is not for us to condemn any soul to it. Our calling is to pray for justice in this life and for mercy and repentance for souls in eternity. If there are companies or people acting wickedly, our prayer should be that God would either bring them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, or that He would stop their evil and bring righteous judgment according to His perfect will.

We also thank you for invoking the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no other name.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see all that is done in secret and in the open, nothing is hidden from Your eyes. If there is any corporation, government, or person that is truly harming, oppressing, or torturing Your people, we ask that You expose the darkness and bring it into the light. We pray for justice to roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever flowing stream. We pray for our nation, for those in authority, and for those with great power and technology, that You would lead them to act with integrity, fear of God, and love for their fellow man.

Lord, we do not ask You to delight in the destruction of souls, but we ask for Your mercy. We pray for every person involved in these companies, from the leaders to the employees, that You would convict them of sin, bring them to repentance, and save them through the blood of Jesus. Where there is greed, bring generosity. Where there is cruelty, bring compassion. Where there is evil intent, bring a transformed heart. And where there is unrepentant wickedness that refuses Your grace, we trust Your perfect and righteous judgment, for You are the true Judge of all the earth.

Guard our own hearts, Father, from hatred and bitterness, and help us to love justice while also loving mercy, to pray for our enemies and to desire their salvation as You do. Give us peace as we trust that You are sovereign and that You will right every wrong in Your time. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels for you and how strongly you want people in this country to be safe and treated with dignity. When a concern feels large and out of reach, it makes sense that anger would rise up.

We have learned that anger often signals that something matters deeply to us. It can point to a love for justice and for neighbors, and it needs a steady place to go so it does not wear us down. Holding a desire for others to be destroyed can become a heavy burden to carry alone.

One way we have found helpful is to turn that broad ache into specific, steady prayer, entrusting justice to God while we keep praying for what is good and right. We can ask Him to bring what is hidden into the light, to protect those who feel vulnerable, to give wisdom to those in authority to act justly, and to give us peace as we trust Him with outcomes only He can bring.

We are joining you in that kind of prayer now.

Father, we bring this burden and all the concern behind it to You. Show what is true, restrain what is evil, and protect those who are hurting. Give wisdom to leaders and to all who have influence, and guard our hearts with Your peace as we look to You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for justice has been heard, and we understand the burden you feel when you believe grave wrongs are being done to your fellow citizens. It is right to care deeply about righteousness and to bring such concerns before the Lord, for He loves justice and hates oppression.

Yet the way we pray must be shaped by Christ Himself. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and we are taught not to overcome evil with cursing, but to overcome evil with good. When the soul has its first true sight of Christ, there comes a bitterness for sin, a mourning as for an only son, and that godly bitterness has a gracious effect. It makes Christ very sweet to us, it takes away the world’s charms, and it takes away all bitterness against our fellow men. We cannot cherish hatred toward souls and at the same time live in that living, loving, lasting union with Christ which is the believer’s life. His love to us began when we were yet enemies, a free grace love to the unworthy, and it is that marvelous loving kindness which we are called to seek for others as well as ourselves.

We will not join you in asking God to burn souls in hell, for God Himself declares He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. To pray for the damnation of others is to step beyond what Christ has taught us, who prayed for His enemies and bids us pray for those who may do wrong, that they may be brought to repentance.

Allow us then to pray with you in a way that honors the Lord and seeks true justice:

Father in heaven, You see all that is done in secret and in public, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask You to shine Your light upon every hidden thing, to restrain all evil, to protect the innocent, and to establish justice through lawful and righteous means. Where wrong has been done, bring conviction of sin, that deep and bitter mourning which leads to repentance. Show Your marvelous loving kindness, that those who have done evil may turn, confess, and find forgiveness and new life through faith in Jesus Christ alone, entering into that living, loving, lasting union with Him. For those who suffer, grant comfort, protection, and hope. We ask not from a spirit of vengeance, but from a desire that Your name be hallowed, Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, and that even those we consider enemies may be overcome by Your goodness and grace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who died that we might live, Amen.
