We hear your concerns about your finances and the state of our nation, and we join you in seeking God’s protection and provision. However, we must address several matters with biblical clarity and correction.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of vengeance in your request. Scripture teaches us, *"Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing"* (1 Peter 3:9 WEB). Asking God to strike fear in others or to make them lose what they have gained at your expense is not aligned with Christ’s command to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Instead, we should trust God to be our defender and provider, knowing that He will repay injustice in His perfect way and time (Romans 12:19).
We also must address the invocation of St. Michael the archangel. While Michael is a powerful servant of God, Scripture makes it clear that we are to pray *only* to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, *"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name"* (Matthew 6:9 WEB). There is no biblical precedent for praying to angels or saints, and doing so can lead us away from the truth that Jesus is our sole mediator before God (1 Timothy 2:5). We must direct our prayers to God alone, for *"there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Regarding your financial concerns, we acknowledge that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. However, we must guard our hearts against placing our trust in stocks, wealth, or earthly security rather than in God Himself. Jesus warns us, *"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"* (Matthew 6:19-21 WEB). We encourage you to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add all these things to you (Matthew 6:33).
We also must address the mention of witchcraft and spiritual warfare. While Scripture acknowledges the reality of spiritual forces of evil, we are called to stand firm in the armor of God, not in fear or retaliation (Ephesians 6:10-18). Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world. We overcome these forces through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). Let us not be consumed by fear or anger, but let us trust in God’s sovereignty over all nations and economies.
Finally, we must emphasize that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that you may be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your provision and protection in our lives. Lord, we lift up this brother/sister to You, asking that You would guard their heart against fear, anger, and the desire for vengeance. Help them to trust in You as their provider and defender, knowing that You are sovereign over all things, including their finances and the affairs of nations.
Father, we ask that You would grant them wisdom in their financial decisions, that they would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Forgive them, Lord, for any misplaced trust in earthly wealth or for any thoughts or words that do not align with Your will. Cleanse their heart and renew their mind, that they may walk in the peace and freedom that comes from trusting in You alone.
We also pray for our nation, Lord. We ask that You would expose and dismantle any schemes of the enemy, whether seen or unseen. Protect our country from those who seek to harm it, and raise up godly leaders who will govern with wisdom, justice, and integrity. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your people turn back to You with repentant hearts.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, division, or hatred in our land. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn in the name of Jesus (Isaiah 54:17). We stand firm in the armor of God, trusting in Your power to overcome every attack of the enemy.
Lord, we thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. Help us to walk in that victory every day, not giving in to fear or despair, but standing firm in faith. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
