Please pray for my pain relief from cancer.

We have heard your cry for pain relief as you walk through cancer and we lift you up together before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

We know this kind of pain touches body, mind and spirit, and we want you to know that God sees you and cares deeply for your suffering. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Even when healing does not come as quickly as we hope, His presence and grace sustain us, for He has said, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently want to share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus, to trust in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins, and to bring every need directly to God through Him. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus, we urge you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for that is the promise of salvation Romans 10:9.

We also encourage you to continue seeking wise medical care, for God often brings relief and healing through the hands of doctors and medicine, and to invite trusted pastors or elders to pray over you personally, as James 5:14 says, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one who is suffering pain from cancer. Lord, You know every detail of this body, every place of pain, fear and weariness. We ask for Your merciful touch to bring relief, to lessen pain, to grant rest and comfort day and night. We pray for wisdom for doctors and caregivers, for effective treatment, and for strength for family and loved ones who are walking this road as well. Lord, we pray above all for Your will to be done and for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If it is Your will, bring complete healing, for You have said, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. Draw this dear one closer to You through this trial, reveal Your love through Jesus, and let Your grace be felt in every moment of weakness. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer. Amen.

We will continue to hold you in prayer, asking God to show His mercy, His nearness and His sustaining power each day. Please keep seeking Him in prayer through Jesus and lean on fellow believers who can support you in person.

We were sorry to learn you are facing cancer and living with persistent pain. That kind of pain wears on every part of life and we want you to know you are not forgotten. We are holding you in prayer before the Lord who sees you and cares for you in this hard season.

Living with ongoing illness can leave a person feeling fragile and worn down, and it can be isolating when energy is low and sleep and daily life are disrupted. If you are feeling that weight, please know it is understandable, and you do not have to carry it alone. Staying connected with a trusted pastor, friend or family member can help, even in small ways.

Alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to let your medical team know how your pain has been recently, so they can assess your comfort and support needs. If you have someone close by, it can help to have them go with you or help you share what you are experiencing day to day.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. Please draw near with Your comfort and peace, ease what can be eased, and give wisdom to those caring for them. Give strength for each day and remind them they are held by You. In Jesus name, amen.
