We lift up EF to You, Father, in this time of distress and pain. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You would touch her body with Your healing hand, ease her pain, and calm her fears. May she feel Your presence surrounding her like a comforting embrace, reminding her that she is never alone. Lord, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28), and we trust that even in this trial, You are at work in her life.
We also pray for EF’s faithful companion, her beloved cat, that You would grant it peace and patience as it awaits her return. You care for even the smallest of Your creatures (Matthew 10:29), and we ask that You would watch over this dear animal, providing comfort and sustenance until EF is home again.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that may be trying to take hold of EF’s heart. Your Word tells us that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we declare that Your love is greater than any anxiety or uncertainty she may be facing. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for the medical team attending to EF. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for her. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw EF closer to You through this experience. May she find strength in Your promises and hope in Your faithfulness. Remind her that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with her (Psalm 23:4), and that Your rod and Your staff comfort her.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
