We hear your cry for healing and deliverance, both physically and spiritually, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The pain you endure from TMJ is real and burdensome, and we lift it before the Lord, who is our Healer. Scripture assures us, *"Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:13-15). We pray for your complete healing, for relief from this flare-up, and for a lasting cure for all who suffer from this affliction. May the Great Physician touch your body with His healing hand and restore you to full health.
The spiritual warfare you describe is not to be taken lightly, for our enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). The attacks you’ve endured since childhood—intended to push you toward bitterness, unforgiveness, and despair—are not of God. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Lord did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory through the cross.
Yet we must also address the way you are approaching this warfare, for the Word of God gives us clear instruction on how to stand firm. Ephesians 6:10-18 commands us to put on the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and supplication must accompany this armor, with all perseverance and petitions for all the saints. If you are struggling to wield this armor effectively, it may be because you are trying to fight in your own strength rather than relying fully on Christ. We encourage you to surrender every fear, every doubt, and every wound to Him. The Lord is your refuge and fortress; in Him you can trust (Psalm 91:2).
Unforgiveness is a particularly insidious snare of the enemy, for it gives him a foothold in your life. Jesus warned, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15). We know the pain you’ve endured is deep, and the thought of forgiving those who have harmed you may feel impossible. But forgiveness is not about excusing their actions—it is about releasing the poison of bitterness from your own heart so that you may walk in the freedom Christ died to give you. We pray that the Holy Spirit would soften your heart and empower you to forgive, not for their sake, but for your own healing and deliverance.
We also lift up the people who have been influenced to harm you. The enemy often uses others as instruments of his cruelty, but we pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth, that they would repent, and that the Lord would break every chain of darkness over their lives. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will judge justly. Your role is to walk in love, even as Christ loved you and gave Himself for you (Ephesians 5:2).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is suffering in body and spirit. You see every pain, every attack, and every tear. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon them, Lord. Ease the pain of TMJ, bring relief to their body, and restore them to full health. We declare Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing now.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of torment, bitterness, and unforgiveness that has been assigned against them. We break every curse, every generational stronghold, and every lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Lord, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
We ask that You would help them to forgive those who have harmed them, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven us so much. Soften their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your love. Teach them to put on the full armor of God daily, to stand firm in Your truth, and to wield the sword of the Spirit with confidence. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be their shield and their refuge.
We pray for those who have been used as instruments of harm. Open their eyes to the truth, Lord, and bring them to repentance. Break every chain of darkness over their lives, and let them experience the freedom that comes only through Jesus Christ.
Father, we thank You that You are faithful and just to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen them in their inner being, Lord, and let them walk in the victory that is already theirs through Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. Memorize Scripture that speaks to your situation, for the Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but you are never alone—God is with you, and we stand with you in this battle. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are not a victim; you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He that is in you than anything the enemy can throw your way. Press in, stand firm, and walk in the victory that is already yours in Christ.
