We all know that's were pearls are created.
I saw husbands as the men cutting the oysters open w/their shucking knives.
Then they had to carefully remove the oyster meat in order to get to the pearl which was down inside the muscle and muck of the oyster.
They knew the value of that pearl, and they kept at it until their pearl was discovered.
It took some longer than others; some were messier than others.
Each pearl had the same beauty, the same glow, but all were unique in size and shape.
You are blessed to have men who never gave up looking for their pearl, who never quit, who never threw your shell away.
My ex-husband gave up before discovering my pearl.
I have had thoughts that maybe my shell didn't have a pearl to discover,
but I now know that's not the case.
Mine was either just REALLY buried deep or maybe not quite perfected yet.
I'm hopeful that God will bring someone into my life who deserves this pearl I have to offer.
someone who will be committed to staying by my side thru the rough seas,
through the storms, through the pounding surf.
That's when pearls are created! And, oh the value they hold!
