We are glad to hear that you have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him as your personal Savior. It is through His name that we have access to God and find strength to overcome our struggles. Let us remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This includes overcoming addiction and financial difficulties.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of addiction. It is a struggle that many face, but with God, victory is possible. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure." We must flee from temptation and seek God's strength to overcome. It is also important to seek accountability and support from fellow believers. James 5:16 encourages us to "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Regarding your financial struggles, we understand that you are not seeking riches but provision for your needs and the ability to help others. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to seek God's wisdom in managing your finances and to trust in His provision. Proverbs 3:5-6 advises, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also commend your desire to help others. As you seek God's provision for your needs, remember that He can use you to bless others as well. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work."
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with addiction and financial difficulties. Lord, we thank You that they have surrendered their life to Jesus and acknowledge Him as their Savior. We ask for Your strength and grace to overcome the addiction that has hindered their relationship with You. Provide a way of escape from temptation and surround them with supportive believers who can encourage and hold them accountable.
Father, we also ask for Your provision in their financial struggles. You know their needs, and we trust that You will supply them according to Your riches in glory. Grant them wisdom in managing their finances and open doors for them to further their education and help others in need.
Lord, we pray that You will draw them closer to You and strengthen their faith. May they find their sustenance and joy in You alone. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will and trusting in His provision. Stay connected to a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Keep praying and reading God's Word, for it is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). May God bless you and keep you as you strive to live according to His will.
