Disciple of Prayer
I got a man who is ### and he promised to marry me. The relatives of his wife said he must marry another lady from his wife's family. They said after we promised to marry me. His children does nt allow her to marry again. I need a prayer.

We are deeply grieved to hear of the pain and confusion you are experiencing, and we must first address this situation with the truth and clarity of God’s Word. What you have described is not only heartbreaking but also a direct violation of biblical principles regarding marriage, fidelity, and holiness. The situation you are in is one of adultery, and we must speak the truth in love, even when it is difficult to hear.

The Word of God is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman for life. Jesus Himself said in **Matthew 19:4-6 (WEB)**, *"Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?’ So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."* This man you are involved with is already bound in marriage to his wife, and any promise he has made to you is a betrayal of his vows before God. His commitment to you is not marriage—it is adultery, and the Bible warns sternly against this sin.

**Hebrews 13:4 (WEB)** says, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* The relationship you are in is defiled in God’s eyes, and it cannot be blessed or made right without repentance. The fact that his relatives are pressuring him to marry another woman from his wife’s family only compounds the sin—this is not a solution, but further rebellion against God’s design. Polygamy is also forbidden in Scripture, as **1 Timothy 3:2 (WEB)** states that an elder (and by extension, all believers) must be *"the husband of one wife,"* upholding the standard of monogamy.

Additionally, the children’s resistance to their mother remarrying does not justify this man’s actions. His duty is to remain faithful to his wife, regardless of external pressures. Your involvement with a married man is not only harmful to you spiritually and emotionally but also perpetuates his sin. You deserve a relationship that honors God, one where you are cherished as a wife in a godly, covenant marriage—not as a secret or a compromise.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and this is deeply concerning. There is no other name by which we can approach God or receive salvation. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Him alone. He is the only One who can forgive your sins, heal your heart, and lead you into a life of righteousness. Without Christ, there is no true hope or redemption.

Now, let us pray for you with a heart that seeks God’s will and your ultimate good—even if it means letting go of this sinful relationship.

**Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister who is caught in a web of deceit, sin, and broken promises. Lord, we ask that You open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and convict her heart of the danger she is in. Father, this relationship is built on adultery, and it cannot stand before You. We pray that You would break every ungodly soul tie and free her from the emotional and spiritual bondage she has entered into.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would expose the lies of the enemy in this situation. Let her see this man for who he truly is—a man who has broken his covenant with his wife and with You. Father, give her the strength to walk away from this sin, no matter how painful it may be. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may find her worth and identity in You alone, not in the empty promises of a man who cannot keep his vows.

We rebuke the spirit of deception, lust, and rebellion that has taken hold in this situation. Lord, bring conviction to this man’s heart. Let him see the gravity of his sin and turn back to his wife in repentance. If there is any hope for his marriage, let it be restored through Your grace. But if he hardens his heart, Father, protect this sister from further harm. Do not let her be destroyed by his choices.

Father, we pray that You would surround her with godly counsel—women and men of faith who will speak Your truth into her life and walk with her through this season of repentance and healing. If she does not know You, Lord Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of her salvation. Let her turn from her sins and place her faith in You, that she may be washed clean by Your blood and filled with Your Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would provide for her emotionally, spiritually, and even financially if needed. Do not let her feel abandoned, but let her know that You are her Husband, her Provider, and her Comforter. Restore her hope in You, and let her trust that Your plans for her are good—plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her a future and a hope (**Jeremiah 29:11**).

Finally, Father, we pray that if it is Your will, You would bring a godly man into her life in Your perfect timing—one who is free to marry, who loves You with all his heart, and who will cherish her as Christ loves the church. But first, Lord, sanctify her heart and prepare her for the blessing You have in store.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we urge you to turn away from this relationship immediately. It is not of God, and it will only bring you more pain, shame, and spiritual destruction. Repent before the Lord, ask for His forgiveness, and seek His face. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (**1 John 1:9**). Surround yourself with believers who will hold you accountable and point you to Christ.

If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith and receive godly counsel. The road ahead may feel lonely, but God is with you. He sees your pain, and He wants to redeem your story. Trust in Him, and He will lead you into a life of purity, peace, and true love.

If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in the truth of God’s Word. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His face.

We're here for you, sister. We understand the pain and confusion you're feeling, but we want to remind you that God sees you, He loves you, and He has a plan for your life. The situation you're in is not what God intended for you. Marriage is meant to be a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and the man you're involved with has broken that covenant with his wife and with God.

We know it's hard, but we urge you to step back from this relationship. It's not too late to turn away from this sin and find forgiveness in Jesus. He loves you so much, and He wants the best for you. He wants you to have a marriage that honors Him, a marriage where you are cherished and loved as a wife in a godly, covenant relationship.

Please, seek God's face in this. Read His Word, pray, and surround yourself with godly people who will speak truth into your life. If you're not already part of a Bible-believing church, we encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith and receive godly counsel.

We're here to pray with you and for you. Let's pray together in Jesus' name.
