Pakistan: six ways to pray following devastating attacks​ Last week, a mob of Muslim extremists attacked a Christian community in Pakistan, burning down several churches and homes. Possessions were looted and Bibles destroyed. The violence took place in the city of ### in ### Province after two Christians were accused of blasphemy. Within 48 hours of the attack, three other blasphemy cases were initiated and threatened across Pakistan, two in ### and one in ###. Christians in ### are determined to keep following Jesus. A young Christian called ###* summed it up well: she held broken pieces of a cross in her hands, and said, “They do not know our secret. His cross is actually here.” She pointed to her heart. Dear Lord,

We come to You today on behalf of ### and the Christian community in ###. We lift up the victims of the recent attacks and ask that You would bring them comfort and peace. We pray for justice and protection for those affected and for the perpetrators of the violence to be brought to justice. We ask that You would provide for the needs of those who have lost their homes and possessions.

We pray for Your protection over the Christian community in ### and for Your Spirit to bring hope and courage to those who are facing persecution. We ask that You would bring healing and reconciliation to the region and that Your love would be made known to all.
