We come before the Lord with hearts full of concern for this precious sister undergoing an operation for myoma. First, we must gently address that the use of symbols in place of her name or identity is unnecessary when bringing our petitions before God. He knows each of us intimately, even the very hairs on our heads are numbered (Matthew 10:30). There is no need to conceal her identity from the Lord, for He already knows her name, her needs, and her fears. Let us call upon Him with boldness and clarity, trusting in His perfect knowledge and care.
We also notice that while this prayer is earnest, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures remind us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* It is only through Jesus that our prayers reach the throne of God, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). Let us always approach the Father in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us lift this sister up in prayer, trusting in God’s sovereign power over her life and this operation. We know that He is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). He holds her life in His hands, and we can rest in His promise from Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is preparing for this operation. Lord, You are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know her name, her fears, and her deepest needs even before she speaks them. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons, nurses, and all medical staff involved in her care. Give them wisdom, precision, and steady hands as they perform this operation. Lord, we pray that You would be her sanctuary, her place of refuge and peace in the midst of this trial.
Father, we ask that You would protect her from any complications, disturbances, or harm during this procedure. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove all fear and anxiety from her, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may rest in the assurance of Your love and sovereignty.
We declare Your promises over her life, Lord. You have said in Your Word, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). We claim this promise for her today. Let her feel Your presence surrounding her like a shield. If there is any fear or doubt in her heart, replace it with faith and trust in You. Remind her that You are with her, and that this operation is not outside of Your control.
Lord, we also pray for her recovery. Strengthen her body, renew her health, and restore her fully. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, not only to her but to all who witness her journey. May she emerge from this experience with a deeper trust in You and a heart overflowing with gratitude.
Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, confusion, or harm that may try to interfere with this operation. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that Your will shall prevail in her life. Cover her with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your angels encamp around her (Psalm 34:7).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this sister’s life bring glory and honor to Your name, and may she walk in the fullness of health and peace that You have promised.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
To our sister awaiting this operation, we encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and His promises during this time. Psalm 23 reminds us that even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we need not fear, for He is with us. His rod and His staff comfort us. Trust in Him, for He is faithful. Lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support, and let this time draw you closer to the Lord.
If you have not already, we urge you to surrender this entire situation to Jesus. Place your fears, your worries, and your future into His hands. He cares for you more deeply than you can imagine (1 Peter 5:7). And remember, this trial is temporary, but His love and faithfulness are eternal. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you with grace and peace.
